Some of the most meaningful moments on a gap year don’t happen at the famous landmarks.

Our participants have been spending time in partner schools across Cambodia providing additional education and English language lessons to children who light up every single session. The interaction, the laughter, the connections made across a language barrier that quickly stops feeling like one.

Cambodia’s communities give so much back in return. We are so grateful to every school and every child who welcomes our participants so warmly. 🙏

India doesn’t ease you in gently.

The temples, the colour, the craft and artistry that shows up in everything, the textiles, the architecture, the way people dress and move and celebrate. It gets into you from the very first day.

Our participants have been immersing themselves in all of it, visiting ancient temples, wearing traditional dress, getting hands on with arts and crafts that have been practised here for centuries.

There is nowhere quite like it. 🙏

Something happens when you spend time somewhere like this.

The connections you make in Palampur, with the people who live here, with the communities you become part of, and with the people you go through it all alongside are different to the ones you make back home. Built on shared experiences that are hard to explain to anyone who wasn’t there.

India has a way of bringing people together. And Palampur is no exception.

Beyond the mountains and the ancient ruins, Peru is a country with a culture so rich and so layered it takes time to truly appreciate.

Our participants get that time sitting with local craftspeople, learning traditions that have been passed down for generations, running workshops and supporting school programmes in communities that welcome them like their own.

This is what a gap year in Peru actually looks like. And it’s just as unforgettable as the views.

Not every part of a gap year looks the way you expect.

Cambodia has a way of surprising you at every turn.

Angkor Wat does something to you - standing inside a temple complex that’s withstood the test of time, there’s a stillness that helps you reflect.

Then offering gifts to monks at sunrise, in a country where faith and ritual are woven into everyday life. 🌅

These are the moments our participants carry home with them.

A gap year can take you anywhere, but the best ones take you somewhere that actually needs you.

Education can change everything and in the rural communities surrounding Arusha, access to it can make all the difference.

We’ve been running workshops, supporting learning and getting stuck into projects that address some of the real challenges faced by the people who live here everyday. We’re not just passing through, but genuinely contributing to something that continues long after the return flight.

None of this would be possible without the incredible FutureSense Foundation whose dedication to creating lasting impact here is at the heart of everything we do in Tanzania.

Imagine this on your doorstep 🤯

Tanzania is home to some of the most epic wildlife on the planet. For our participants, this isn’t just a safari, it’s part of something bigger.

🦓 Congributing to large animal conservation
🗻 Gaining hands on experience in wildlife research
🇹🇿 Spending time in ecosystems that most people only ever see in a documentary

This is what a few weeks or months in Tanzania could actually be like and honestly, we think it’s one of the most extraordinary places to spend a gap year and create incredible memories.
