Fast Response PFA Ltd is based in Newbury, Berkshire and is committed to delivering high quality First Aid Training, (which is a requirement under The Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. We also offer Paediatric First Aid Training Courses (in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and Ofsted guidelines) through theory and practical sessions in a very professio

nal but relaxed environment. We pride ourselves in making First Aid easy; giving the candidates the confidence required should they ever find themselves in the daunting position of having to use Emergency First Aid skills. Our launch as a First Aid Training provider was in September 2009 covering the county of Berkshire and due to gaining an excellent reputation as a First Aid Training Provider, we are now offering our services throughout the rest of the UK. Our courses also now include Manual Handling, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Fire Safety Training, Fire Marshall, Adult Abuse Awareness and Dementia Awareness. Our Instructors are fully qualified to a very high standard with a wealth of knowledge and background and courses are accredited where applicable. Fast Response PFA Ltd is a registered Qualsafe Awards Centre, Pro Trainings Centre and FAIB (First Aid Industry Body) Centre. Our Training Courses can be in-house or a venue can be sought in your surrounding area if it cannot be held on your premises. We can also deliver Paediatric First Aid to parents in the comfort of your own home. Our Courses include: Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work (3 days), First Aid at Work Re-Qualification, Half Day Annual Refresher, Automated External Defibrillation Course, Paediatric First Aid (4hrs), Paediactric First Aid (6hrs) and Paediatric First Aid (12hrs), Manual Handling, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety Awareness, Fire Marshall, Adult Abuse Awareness, Dementia Awareness.

Important to share this information as it’s a moment when people don’t want to believe a person isn’t breathing and the mind will hold onto anything that indicates they are…. even strange gaspy noises can convince a person that they are alive. It’s not normal breathing and they need to begin CPR.

Button batteries, in particular big, powerful lithium coin cell batteries, can badly hurt or kill a small child if they swallow one and it gets stuck in their food pipe. They are used in an increasingly wide range of toys, novelty items, gadgets and other everyday objects you’ll find around your home.

Knowing where they are and keeping unsecured batteries out of reach helps keep your children safe. Yet many of us don’t realise just how many are lurking all over our homes.
