I have over 20 years teaching experience and my students have a 100% pass rate for Trinity and Rock School grades. My lessons are well structured, fun, and I cater for all levels.

Before coming for lessons, try my guitar workouts.

My YouTube guitar warmups are 11 years old! Time does fly.
These are a great way to stay in shape, improve technique, and identify weaknesses in ones playing.
I encourage my beginner students to work through the basic picking and legato warmups every time they practice.

Guitar setups

We now offer guitar servicing and repairs

Our guitar tech Tim will collect your instrument from my teaching studio (in Newbury), on Wednesdays, and drop it off the following Wednesday.

String change and clean - £20
Guitar service (setting action, intonation, string change, and clean) - £30
Repair work or pickup installation - £20 per hour plus parts

Tim is an excellent guitar tech who does all my setups. The job is always thorough and I've never had any issues.

Here are a few guitars he worked on recently:
Carvin Holdsworth - electrical issues fixed, new strings, setup, and clean.

Ibanez Artcore - jack connection fixed, pots cleaned, new strings, setup, and clean.

Looking for an experienced guitar or drum teacher?

For example, maybe this is you:

Experienced drummer looking for faster hands? We will work on some practice pad routines to build ridiculous hand speed.
Maybe you want to test yourself and do grade 8? This can be a great challenge, even for long time players.
Bored of playing the same drum fills? We will work on spicing up what you already know with flams, dynamics, subdivisions etc.

Perhaps you are a seasoned guitarist, bored of playing the same old blues licks? I can give you lots of new, creative ideas.
Have an 8-string guitar and don’t know what to do with it? I have lots of experience with wider ranged guitars.
Struggling to alternate pick? I will break down and rebuild your technique so you can pick at 180bpm and cross strings with ease.
