We have been a little quite over the past few weeks adjusting to the new lockdown.

Little Esme has been very patient and just wants to copy her big brothers .

We have been colour sorting with our bee hive and learning our shapes .

We are loving CBeebies homeschooling schedule. When I need to help the others she has sat copying the letters and numbers from numberblocks or alphablocks!

I hope lockdown has been kind to you all this time around x

Doctor Doctor ...

We are Learning about how to look after ourselves and how to look after others.

We have learnt to take it in turns as to who will be doctor and who will be patient aswell as working along side eachother .

We have read our hospital book and now we are going to watch CBeebies “get well soon “

Noah’s ark theme tomorrow and Esme is already intrigued...

We have lots of activities planned for 1 - 2 year olds this week based around Noah’s ark .

We will be reading the noisy Noah’s ark book and “trying” to read the french version 🤣 or at least looking through it together .

I set these themes aimed at the younger daytime children but 9/10 my after school children love using their imagination and with these themes too!

Despite this mornings showers today has been a beautiful day for walking and splashing in muddy puddles !

Our girls have worn themselves out this afternoon with an hour long walk exploring the woods and taking it in turns to read our story before I was allowed to read 🤣 .

We have had our “music and mummy” online session back at home and now the girls are peacefully sleeping ..

I’m might just go and treat myself to a hot cup of coffee before our afterschool session begins 🥰

A beautiful day spent despite lockdown restrictions.

We are definitely missing socialising in our music and toddler classes however we still try to make the best of each day with as many learning opportunities that we can .

Today we went for a beautiful autumn walk . We took the book “we are going on a bear hunt “ to read in the forest whilst sat under an oak tree. Esme (who is almost 2) loved repeating the words and acting out the actions !

When we got home we made vegetable omelettes with sweet potato chips for lunch and rhubarb and apple cakes ..

Our afterschool children noticed the cakes when they got home from school. They all fell silent decorating and eating their cakes before burning off their energy in the garden ..

I hope you are all managing to keep your little ones busy during this worrying time ! X

Trick or Treating might be a no go this year but that doesn’t mean we can’t find other ways to join in with the festivities.. 👻

Today we have been making bats out of pipe cleaners and toilet roll and creating spiders from Pom poms and pipe cleaners.

We enjoyed a Halloween disco, a Halloween scarecrow walk and then back home for a hot chocolate and marshmallows to warm up.

Instead of trick or treating the children enjoyed our home made version 🎃 finding the treats around the garden before it got too dark !!

It has been such a busy day that we have ended it with some calm time watching “coco” 💀

We won’t let the rain spoil our fun .. ☔️

We used this rainy day as an opportunity to put our wellies on and jump up and down in the puddles.

We counted the conkers , played hide and seek with the leaves and put our sticks in the puddle to watch the ripple effect.

We found a beautiful tree 🌳 and sat down together for story time . Our toddlers wanted to take it in turns reading the story out loud too 🍂

After lunchtime and a much needed openended playtime we are now sat having a snuggle . Dogs are fast asleep and the bunny is bouncing around.

I love my Fridays with these three keeping me on my toes 🥰

Today we have been painting on our easel outside!

The girls were painting the animal shapes to stamp on their picture .

After they had finished they washed all the bowls and paintbrushes (aswell as themselves !!) under the tap in the garden ...

We love painting in the sunshine ☀️
