Today, we enjoyed a special whole school assembly to draw the winners of our Reading Raffle. Two runners-up each received an Easter egg and our overall winner took home a family Odeon cinema voucher!

What a fantastic day we’ve had celebrating our love of reading! The children arrived in the most brilliant range of book character costumes - from classic favourites to adventurous new heroes.
Across the day, the classrooms were filled with storytelling and creative activities. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, enthusiastic and proud to share their reading choices.

Class 4/5 had a fun-packed day at the National Space Centre 🚀🪐🔭
First we visited the planetarium to learn more about our Solar Sytem.
Then the children enjoyed looking at spacecraft replicas, shooting water rockets and travelling to the top of the Rocket Tower.

Year 5/6 had an unforgettable day at the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham!

We stepped back in time during a Crime and Punishment workshop, exploring the harsh realities of Georgian and Victorian punishment methods. From stocks and public shaming to transportation and prison life, we discovered just how different justice looked in the past.

The highlight of the day was taking part in a mock trial inside a real courtroom. Everyone had a role to play—judge, jury, defendant, and witnesses—and we got a taste of how justice was served centuries ago.

It was a fascinating mix of history, drama, and hands-on learning that brought the past vividly to life. A huge thank you to the Galleries of Justice team for making history so engaging!

We couldn't be prouder of our amazing Muskham Girls football team, coming runners up in today's Newark and District tournament. Only losing on penalties in a very closely fought final! 👏🏅🌟
