A huge Happy 8-Year Work-iversary to our wonderful Donna! 🤍🥳

Donna joined Country Kids back in September 2018, initially as Nursery Manager at Rainworth ready for opening in January 2019. Eight years later, she’s such an important part of Country Kids and the support behind our nurseries.

As part of our Regional Team, Donna supports our Newark, Rainworth and Sleaford nurseries, working closely with the managers and teams, as well as our Head of Operations, Sarah, and CEO, Jeanette.

Donna is particularly passionate about safeguarding and plays a huge part in making sure our teams feel confident and supported in this area. She also leads on SEND across Country Kids, working with our nurseries to make sure children get the right support for their individual needs.

She’s thorough, incredibly knowledgeable and knows Country Kids inside out, and our managers know she’s always there when they need advice, guidance or an extra pair of hands.

Eight years of Donna! 🥰

We’re already planning ahead for October half term 🍂

We’ve got lots of lovely days planned to keep the children busy over the two weeks … pumpkin fun, messy creations, baking, treasure hunts, bikes, autumn activities and plenty of Halloween fun too 🎃

A little reminder from us… please label EVERYTHING!

Jumpers, coats, water bottles, wellies, bags… if it comes to nursery, pop their name on it!

With lots of little ones (and lots of very similar belongings!) it makes it so much easier for our team to make sure everything finds its way back to the right home.

A little look at the why behind the play in our Baby Room. 🤍

Mae, our Baby Room Leader, talks us through one of the sensory activities she’s created for our babies and what they’re exploring as they play.

At this age, even the simplest activities are full of learning, different textures to touch, colours to notice, sounds to discover and plenty of opportunities to reach, grasp, explore and investigate in their own way.

It might look like play, but there’s so much happening behind those little hands. 🥰

We’re growing our team at Country Kids Newark!

We’re looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join us for 3 days a week, and we’d love to find someone who really cares about making those nursery days count. 🤍

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be planning activities, supporting children as they learn and develop, building relationships with our families and, most importantly, making sure our children feel happy, safe and excited to come to nursery.

A little about the role…
📍 Based at Country Kids Newark
🤍 30 hours per week
📅 3 days: 8am - 6pm
🎓 Level 3 Early Years qualification required
💷 Pay from £13.13 per hour

Wishing a very happy 5-year work-iversary to our lovely Doreen! 🤍

Doreen joined us back in September 2021 as our nursery cook, and over the years her role has grown into so much more.

As well as keeping everyone well fed, Doreen spends time supporting across our nursery rooms and at lunchtimes, and she loves getting the children involved in cooking and baking too. There’s usually plenty of little hands wanting to help when Doreen’s busy! 🥰

She’s always happy to get stuck in, help wherever she’s needed and is such a familiar, lovely face for our children and team.

Thank you for everything you’ve brought to Country Kids Newark over the last five years, Doreen. We’re so lucky to have you! 💖

A huge happy 6-year work-iversary to our wonderful Tina! 💛

Tina joined Country Kids back in September 2020 and, quite simply, we don’t know how we’d run without her!

As our Finance Manager across all of our Country Kids sites, Tina works incredibly hard behind the scenes keeping everything (and everyone!) organised.

And while she’s primarily based at Sleaford, our teams across the nurseries absolutely LOVE it when Tina comes to visit… not least because she very rarely arrives empty-handed! 😂 There’s usually a bag in tow filled with muffins, doughnuts, chocolate or some other treats for the team. She certainly knows the way to everyone’s hearts! 🍩🍫🧁

But goodies aside, Tina is such a loved and valued part of Country Kids. She’s always there to help, answer a question or sort something out, and so much of what happens across our nurseries simply wouldn’t run as smoothly without everything she does behind the scenes.

Six years of Tina, and we’re very lucky to have her. 💛

A huge happy 4-year work-iversary to our lovely Mae! 🥳💛

Mae has been part of the Country Kids family for four years now, starting her journey at our Farndon nursery before moving over to Newark, where she is now our wonderful Baby Room Leader across our two baby rooms. 🥰

Mae is one of those people who was made for working with little ones. She has such a warm, bubbly and caring nature, and the beautiful bonds she builds with our babies are so lovely to see. There are always plenty of smiles, cuddles and lots of love in Mae’s room! 🤍

She is Level 3 Qualified, paediatric first aid trained and has undertaken additional training specifically for working with babies. She also loves teaching our little ones simple Makaton signs and sharing her knowledge with the wider team.

We’re so lucky to have Mae as part of Country Kids and so proud of everything she has achieved over the last four years.
