My second set of speech and drama results are now in and I am very pleased. I can't ask for more than that.

Are you still looking for something to do in the summer holidays for your child/children? The Open Space Theatre School is a week of inclusive activities that explores the nature of creating theatre. This is not like 'a show in a week' where your child will sit around watching others rehearse. They will be busy all day, everyday. In previous years the week has culminated in a piece of ensemble theatre designed and performed by all the participants.

The ESB Speech and Drama exam results for Nottingham High School are in for 2025. Once again we have a fantastic set of results and very well-deserved by all my hard working and talented pupils. They bring such joy to the occasion.

I have just had the most fabulous evening at Newark Rugby Club awards night. I have been helping the quality coaching team with the women’s 1st XV and it has been a huge privilege for me (they were doing fine without me btw). Thank you for the wonderful gifts. I will treasure my engraved whisky tumbler, especially as it reminds me you were the LEAGUE WINNERS in your first competitive season!!! It is the spirit within the squad that has been the hallmark of your success. Sad to say, it is the spirit within the bottle that may be short-lived!!!

Well done to all the talented students at Nottingham Girl's High School who completed their Trinity Speech and Drama exams this term. They all worked especially hard in the last few weeks and it paid off.

Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon will be on display at Southwell Minster from 11th until 22nd October 2024.

Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface.

The installation is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight and surround sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award winning composer Dan Jones. A programme of lunar inspired events beneath the moon, including concerts, poetry readings and pilates, will also add to the awe-inspiring spectacle.

There will also be pre-bookable, hands-on sessions using a ‘borrow the moon’ box, on loan from the Science and Technology Facilities Council. Items include meteorites and specimens of genuine moon-dust to handle and view.
