In memory of all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom

This violin was made by Yoshiharu Ito, who studied at Chapel violins for six months. It's been a few years now since you studied here and I still remember when you first came and had less than five words of english in your vocabulary, you had never made a violin or done any previous woodwork. Most of the teaching was conducted through a kind of sign language, but even then I could see that you were one of the kindest people I'd ever met. A lot has changed for you since you left, now that you have secured a job in Japan and ofcourse your English is so much better these days, well done Yoshi!

Here is the work of another ex-student, Paul Briant, who studied for one year at Chapel violins back in 2010. In that time he was able, with no previous experience, to make a violin and this superb cello which he is now in the process of varnishing.

Very proud of our past and present students at chapel violins. Here are some pictures of repairs by Ben Taylor, who studied at chapel violins some years ago, for six months and with no previous experience. We will shortly begin posting regular updates of our work here in preparation for the official opening of chapel violins shop and website. We would also like to invite past students to send in pictures of their work for display on our blog.
