πΏ Our Garden is Summer Ready! πΏ
After a few years of fundraising and overcoming a few hurdles along the way, the garden is complete.
As a charity-run playgroup, every improvement is made possible through the support of our families, staff, committee, and local community. Thank you to everyone who has helped us raise funds and make our garden such a wonderful space for our children.
We are proud to provide affordable childcare while keeping care, learning, and children's wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
Thank you for your continued support β we couldn't do it without you π«Άπ»

β οΈ Urgent warning for parents from Nottinghamshire Trading Standards β οΈ
β Please do not microwave squishy toys!
A dangerous social media trend is urging children to put silicone squishy toys in the microwave, to make them softer and more pliable. Please donβt let them do it.
βΌοΈ The toys get dangerously hot inside, even though they remain cool on the outside. If squeezed they can explode, spraying boiling gel and leading to severe burns, hospital admissions, and lasting scars.
π£οΈ Please talk to children about these risks and share this message to keep others safe.

We had a very special visit at nursery this week as we welcomed an animal therapy session for the children πΎ
The children absolutely loved getting up close and hands-on with a range of amazing animals. They enjoyed gently stroking, brushing and even holding some of them, building their confidence and curiosity along the way.
We met some fascinating creatures including millipedes, snakes, rabbits, guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, and even a Chameleon and Silver chicken ππ°
It was such a lovely experience for the children, helping them learn about different animals in a calm and safe environment while also encouraging kindness, care and respect.
We are so proud of how brave and gentle everyone was β lots of smiles all round! π

Regrowing Vegetables & Fruit at Nursery! π
Look what weβve been up to!
The children have been exploring how we can regrow food from everyday kitchen scrapsβ¦ and after just 2 days, weβre already seeing results! π±β¨
We have been growing: π Strawberries
π
Tomatoes
π§ Garlic
π₯¬ Celery
The children were so excited to see that by using items from our fridge, we can start to grow our own food again!
This hands-on activity helps us learn about: π Caring for the environment

We canβt wait to keep watching them grow! πΏπ
What a Lovely Start to the Term! ππ¦
Weβve had such a wonderful time since returning this term, making the most of the brighter days and getting stuck into lots of fun activities!
The children have loved spending time outdoors in our garden and enjoying our trips to the park, exploring and playing together in the fresh air. πΏβοΈ
Weβve been learning all about caterpillars and their amazing transformation into butterflies. Our very own caterpillars are getting bigger every day and will soon be ready to form their cocoons β we canβt wait to watch the magic happen! πβ‘οΈπ¦
Our little gardeners have also been busy planting sunflowers, flowers, and vegetables. Theyβve been taking great care of them by watering them and talking about how they grow and change. π»π§
Weβve also enjoyed getting creative with some beautiful still life paintings, using different plants as inspiration β the results have been fantastic! π¨πΈ
Itβs been a term full of learning, laughter, and lots of special moments π
