Check out these posters from the Seaside Play Cafe right here in New Romney! They offer a brilliant role-play and soft-play area perfect for little ones aged 0–6.

This August, they are hosting special afternoon meet-ups designed specifically for our upcoming Reception children. It’s a wonderful, relaxed opportunity for the children to start building friendships before their first day—and a great chance for parents to connect too! 🍦✨

🏏 Fantastic Cricket Success! 🎉

On Wednesday 8th July, a brilliant group of our Year 2 children headed over to Ashford School to represent us at the district Rapid Fire Cricket Competition!

Competing against nine local schools, our team played beautifully, finishing in a fantastic 7th place with some incredibly close scores. A special shout-out to four of our children who were awarded Special Moment Awards! 🌟

Throughout the day, our young players showcased brilliant teamwork, quick thinking and fantastic cricket skills. Most importantly, they showed incredible determination, resilience and sportsmanship—cheering each other on every single step of the way.

We are immensely proud of your positive attitudes, hard work and achievements. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part—you are an absolute credit to our school! 💙👏

🏆 HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE! 🏆

Last night, our Herald Cup team made history by becoming the first-ever girls team to win the trophy for St Nicholas! We were up against a very tough and determined Greatstone side and they really made us work for the win. What an intense, brilliant game it was from the first whistle to the last.

Every training session, every game, every pass, tackle, save, goal, and sprint led to that exact moment. I cannot express how much these girls deserved this final win. They earned that trophy with their dedication, their hard work, their hearts, talent and teamwork. We built a true sisterhood this season and I will never forget it. I am deeply honoured to coach this team—their talent and wonderful attitudes made my job an absolute joy. When that winning goal went in, the tears were completely genuine. I was absolutely bursting with pride and emotion just got the better of me.

A massive thank you to our community:
📣 Our amazing parents: Thank you for travelling, standing on the sidelines and being the loudest support we could have ever wished for!
🏫 Staff & students: Your encouragement across the whole school has not gone unnoticed.
🤝 Miss Arnold: A huge shoutout to my right-hand woman. The girls and I look for you in every game! Thank you for helping me make game-changing decisions and being there every step of the way—we couldn't have done it without you.
⚽ Mr Dewey: Thank you for your vital support with training, covering sessions, refereeing and constantly encouraging the girls.

Our incredible girls Herald Cup team is taking on Greatstone Primary today in the long-awaited final! ⚽✨ These girls have worked so hard to get here, and they deserve a massive crowd to cheer them on to victory. Let’s fill the sidelines and help them bring that trophy home!
