A warm welcome back for the wonderful Dina Kingsnorth, this year sharing with you “Soil to Self: How Microbes Connect Us Through Food” 🌱

Introducing soil as a dynamic community of microbes, fungi, plants, and invertebrates that boost plant resilience, food quality and flavour; leading to improved health and wellbeing. By weaving together ecology, agriculture, and human biology, this talk reframes healthy food as an outcome of healthy soil.

Dina is Lead Grower at Cilrath Acre Community Garden, supplying fresh fruit and vegetables to Pembrokeshire Food Bank. She is also Co-founder of Patch of the Planet , a nature-recovery project reconnecting people with their outdoor spaces and Tyn Y Berllan, a regenerative Welsh heritage fruit tree nursery 🌳

At last! 17cm of snow!

Low temperatures trigger dormancy in our apple tree nursery, Tyn y Berllan and will help stratify the tree seeds.

The snow will insulate the overwintering veg and trap nitrogen for slow release fertiliser when it all melts.

Plus it all looks pretty magical!
