Yesterday, Ethan from little kickers came to visit the pre-school/toddlers room. The children had a great time showing off their physical skills by completing obstacle courses ⚽️. They also had fun making rockets, ice creams and practising their goal scoring 🥅. Thank you for coming Ethan, the children had a great time 😄.

Over in the pre-school room at YMCA New Milton, the children have been developing their physical skills by completing an obstacle course. They did great balancing! The children have also made some fantastic pictures by adding materials to their photos to make great hairstyles. Finally, they’ve had lots of fun getting messy with play foam 😄.

Today is Youth Mental Health Day 🧠

At YMCA we aim to build a culture where every young person feels heard, supported, and understood.

One way we do this is by providing a mental health support box for young people when they arrive at Fairthorne Group housing.

Lots of fun in the toddler/baby room at YMCA New Milton this week. The children have made a splash with dinosaurs 🦕, they enjoyed looking at the different sized footprints they made! The children have also been busy bees and made some fantastic bee pictures using craft materials 🐝. Continuing with our all about me theme, the children have been making faces using play dough and natural resources collected from the garden. They made some great faces 😄.

This week at YMCA New Milton, the children in the baby and toddler room have been looking at “all about me”. They have used mirrors to look at their features, they were very good at pointing to their noses, eyes and ears! We have also had fun in the garden exploring the rain ☔️, we had lots of fun using different resources to pour, paint and splash the water 😁.
