🎄✨Join us for free Festive Community Art Workshops with Arts-Co throughout November. ✨🎄

This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, helping us bring creative opportunities to our local communities in New Mills and Glossop.

Together, we’ll hand-print beautiful patterned blocks to build a unique Community Christmas Tree. Our finished artwork will be proudly displayed at the Christmas Lights Switch On events in both New Mills and Glossop.

No booking needed — just come along and get creative!

No matter your family shape or size, whether you’re a couple, a lively large family, blended or mixed, young or mature, or a group of friends who have become more like family, we want you 🫵 ‼️
Family is such a special bond, no matter what form it takes, and we want to celebrate that with you in this special workshop. Candid photos stuck on fridge doors are great, but we think getting the gang together and carving out a few hours to create something special together is rare and wonderful ✨
In this workshop, all materials are provided, and all abilities are welcome. We’ll work with you to help you create a completely unique family portrait. Old formal portraits are out, fun vibrant portraits are in! Think pop art meets Mr.Doodle meets your favourite artist! Not keen on painting? No problem, we’ve got so many mediums available so you can work to your strengths or perhaps give something new a go?!

THREE WEEKS TODAY! Our Art Competition that’s open to all.
One day to create your artwork. Great prizes!
Which little bit of New Mills would you draw/paint/collage?

How it works:

9:30-11am register at ~ bring your paper/canvas/whatever-you-want-to-draw-on and we’ll stamp it.

Then, go out into New Mills and create your artwork.

3-3:45pm bring back your masterpiece ( for main competition and for children’s) and we will display it.

4~4:45 the Public Vote. People from the town are invited to come and vote for their favourite artwork.

5pm ~ prize giving!

The entry fee is £5 for the Main prize, however, for anyone experiencing hardship or unable to pay it is free. We want everyone to enter! Children’s competition is FREE.
