As you will know, I mostly work with children aged from about 8-13 yrs old, so from years 4 to 8. Sometimes I am asked about working with KS1 children or about working with children with different needs. I always try to give the best advice to parents and where I don't think I am best equipped to support a child, will always say so. However, I know that there are parents of KS1 children who would like support for their children earlier, as well as parents of children with different needs who are worried and need some help. That is why I am happy to be able to tell you about Linden Wilde.
Linden has 30 years experience as a class teacher and 7 years as a special needs support teacher and has worked in schools both across Derbyshire and North Auckland, New Zealand, where she originally trained. She is also a trained Reading Recovery specialist teacher, who specialises in working with younger children who struggle to learn to read, write and spell. She understands how children are all very different and learn differently. She is exceptionally patient and kind.
