My Book Bug - in Partnership with Usborne

I'm so excited to be taking the Usborne books to the New Malden Fire Station Open Day again this year!

It's on Sunday 28th June;
11am - 12pm early opening for neurodiverse needs
12pm - 4pm open to all

It's always such a fun day for little ones, with a chance to meet the firefighters, dress up, and look inside the fire engines 🚒🚒🚒

It's free to come along, and the stalls there like mine will all be donating money to 😁

I'll have lots of Usborne books to browse and buy, including reading and activity books for the Summer!

I'm really looking forward to taking the books to Burlington Schools Summer Fair tomorrow!

It's on at KT3 4LT from 12-3pm, and there is so much fun to be had, including live music, delicious food, and of course lots of lovely stalls run by the school and local businesses!

From Monday 5th January to Monday 2nd February 2026 anyone who joins Usborne to set up their own pop-up bookshop can benefit from an extra large Starter Kit worth £202.78!

This will be my 12th year of being part of the Usborne community, and our team have lots of experience of supporting new people to join in the fun!

2026 is the National Year of Reading, a department of education initiative in collaboration with the National Literacy Trust, to address the steep decline in reading in the UK. What better way to help than by providing books to your local community, and helping schools and nurseries to get F R E E books for children?!

Thank you so much for all of your support for My Book Bug in 2025, I won't lie, it's been a tricky year for me personally, but I'm so lucky that continuing to run my little bookshop and see children's faces light up when they choose their books has, as always, brought me a huge amount of happiness. I couldn't do it without all of my lovely customers, parents, teachers, PTAs and charities who I work with, as well as all of my amazing team-mates and Usborne colleagues, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!! 😊❤️
