We’ve had a fantastic Community Helpers Week at Green Lane, filled with exciting visits from the amazing people who help keep our community running smoothly.

The children were absolutely captivated as they met:

📮 A Postman – who showed us how letters and parcels travel from door to door.
👮‍♀️ Police Officers – who talked about keeping everyone safe and even let the children explore some of their equipment.
🩺 Doctors – who explained how they help people stay healthy and feel better.
🚸 Our Lollipop Lady – who taught the children all about road safety and how she helps everyone cross safely each day.

These hands‑on experiences sparked brilliant questions, imaginative role‑play, and lots of proud little faces.
We’re so grateful to all our visitors for giving their time and helping bring learning to life for our children!🥰

The children had such a busy and exciting Spring term!
The children have explored a wide range of topics — from weather and springtime changes to Easter celebrations, Space, animals, and so much more.

They have enjoyed hands‑on activities, outdoor learning, and plenty of opportunities to follow their own interests.

Our visits to the local library was a real highlight, and the children loved choosing books and listening to stories.

It’s been wonderful to see the children’s confidence, curiosity, and friendships grow over the term.

We hope all the children have a lovely, restful break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for the last part of the Summer term!☺️

Today the children learnt about how Eid is celebrated around the world and enjoyed taking part in lots of festive activities.
They created beautiful Eid-themed crafts and had a wonderful time decorating their own cupcakes.

This half term, our nursery continued its commitment to supporting our charity partner—an orphanage in Buenos Aires—by visiting the children we’ve been connected with throughout the years!

In preparation for the trip, our nursery children created handmade friendship bracelets, each one representing kindness, connection, and the idea that friendship has no borders.

Seeing the children in Comedor Angel Guardian in Buenos Aires receive these bracelets was truly heartwarming.

We’re proud of our nursery community for helping make this possible. 🥰

Yesterday we held our fundraising event for the Orphanage Angel Guardian in Buenos Aires, which we have been supporting over the years!

The children learnt about orphanages and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone else’s life.

They created heartfelt gifts — bracelets, bookmarks, key rings and posters — to send to the children there, exploring how giving can help others feel seen and cared for.

It was a truly lovely event!💓

What a great start to this 2026 we had!

We’ve started the new term by diving into our Winter topic, exploring the changes we see and feel during this chilly season.

The children have been busy with a range of hands-on, sensory activities:

Creating beautiful winter scenes, designing snowflakes with playdough and drawing their own frosty patterns and building igloos.

Best of all, they had the chance to play in real snow, exploring its texture and talking about how it feels

It’s been a magical start to the term, full of curiosity, creativity, and wintery wonder! 🌨️

Last week, our children took a delicious trip around the world—no passports needed!
Through hands-on cooking, we explored five countries in five days, learning how food connects us to different cultures, traditions, and stories.

From shaping Japanese rice balls to layering cheesy Lebanese rolls, rolling Italian pizzas, mixing Moroccan couscous, and finishing with classic British sandwiches… our little chefs cooked, tasted, and talked their way through delicious cultures!💛
