Two young warriors in the making! 🥊

Today we worked on an important Muay Thai concept: not always standing directly in front of your opponent, but creating angles and finding better positions to attack and defend.

We drilled it on the pads first before taking it into sparring. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get any footage of the sparring this time right now they’re both full of enthusiasm and energy, which makes for some very lively rounds! 😅

One thing I love about these two is their eagerness to learn. They’re always excited to pick up new skills, and today they were determined to learn how to sweep each other. Needless to say, they found it absolutely hilarious when they ended up on the floor! The funniest part was watching them try to get back up again, looking like turtles stuck on their backs. 🐢😂

As they continue training, they’ll develop better timing, precision, control, and technique. But at this stage, the most important thing is that they’re enjoying the process.

Martial arts isn’t always easy. Not everyone likes getting hit, and not everyone enjoys the challenges that come with learning to fight. But when training is fun, learning becomes something you look forward to, and that’s where real progress happens.

The laughter, the effort, the willingness to try something new, and the determination to keep going after making mistakes are all part of the journey.

A huge well done to both Robert and Mason for giving it their absolute best today.

Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep having fun. 🔥

Game plan? Combo? Tactics? Never heard of them. 🥊💀

When the combo you have been drilling completely disappears from your brain! 🤣 Always a pleasure having come down to train with me.

Since November last year I started teaching at . I feel incredibly lucky to be working alongside another female who shares the same passion for martial arts and a similar vision for the future. Being able to support one another, respect each other’s goals, and grow together in an environment built on mutual understanding is something I truly value. I am deeply grateful to have her by my side on this journey.

As two former champion martial artists, we feel incredibly privileged to now share our passion with the next generation.

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is seeing children grow in confidence, resilience and self-belief through martial arts. Recently, we’ve received some amazing feedback from parents telling us how much their children are enjoying classes and how they now have the confidence to walk into the studio, make friends and challenge themselves.

It’s especially meaningful to know that boys, as well as girls, benefit from having strong women as role models. Martial arts has traditionally been viewed by some as a male dominated sport, which makes it even more important for young boys to see women leading, teaching and excelling at the highest levels. When boys grow up seeing girls and women who are strong, skilled, disciplined and successful, they learn to value ability over stereotypes, respect people for their achievements, and understand that strength comes in many forms.

For girls, seeing female instructors and champions shows them what is possible. For boys, it helps shape a generation that respects, supports and celebrates strong women. Those lessons extend far beyond the mats and into everyday life.

We’re incredibly proud of every student who steps onto the mats and grateful to the families who trust us to be part of their journey. Watching these young martial artists grow in confidence, character and belief in themselves is what makes every class worthwhile.
