🌟💙 STARS SUPPORT GROUP – OUR SESSIONS ARE STARTING! 💙🌟
We are so excited to announce that our STARS Sibling Support Group and STARS Stay & Play Sessions are getting underway! 🥰⭐
These sessions have been created to provide support, friendship, fun and a safe space for our registered children and families.
💜 STARS SIBLING SUPPORT YOUTH CLUB 💜
Our Sibling Support Group is for all our registered children within STARS who have a sibling with additional needs.
At STARS, we believe that siblings are a very important part of our families and deserve to have their own space within our support group too. 💕 We want to give our siblings the opportunity to have a little break away from the family home, spend time with other children, make new friends and enjoy activities that are just for them.
Our aim is to create a fun and welcoming space where our siblings can relax, have fun, talk, connect with others and feel supported. 🌈
We are starting with a fantastic 6-week Relax Kids programme with Anne Wood, focusing on helping the children explore and regulate their emotions, build confidence and learn relaxation techniques in a fun and child-friendly way. 🧘♀️✨
Alongside this, we will be organising lots of fun, interactive and creative activities for our siblings throughout the year.
We have also organised our first monthly sibling trip for Sunday 27th September! 🚌🎉

This will give our siblings a chance to get out of the house, have some fun, enjoy a special activity and spend time with other children who are part of the STARS family. 💙
⭐ STARS STAY & PLAY ⭐
Our Stay & Play Sessions are for all our registered STARS families. 💙
The children will be divided into two groups:
✨ Shining Stars – our younger children
🌟 Superstars – our older children
Sessions will beginning at 11.00am
We will also have a quiet session/space available for children who require a quieter or more individualised experience. 💙
We will have full use of the indoor and outdoor facilities at St Columbas Primary School, Newbuildings, giving us lots of opportunities for play and activities.
Our Stay & Play sessions will include:
🎨 Arts & crafts
🏰 Bouncy castle
🧸 Soft play
🧪 Educational and discovery activities
🖐️ Messy play
🎵 Music sessions
🎭 Interactive sessions
🌳 Indoor & outdoor play
🎲 Games
✨ Sensory and play-based activities
⭐ A variety of visiting activity providers
We will be bringing in different people and activities throughout the programme, giving the children the opportunity to try lots of new things and making sure every Saturday is a little bit different! 🥰
Most importantly, we want STARS to be a place where our children can have fun, feel included, build friendships and be themselves, while our families can meet others who understand their journey. ❤️

We are so excited to finally get these programmes up and running and cannot wait to see our STARS children enjoying everything we have planned. 💙
