I am a BHS-qualified and Pony Club–certified equestrian coach with over 20 years of experience teaching riders of all ages and abilities. My coaching goes beyond the saddle—I help children and adults alike to not only ride with skill but also build confidence, form lasting connections with horses, and create wonderful memories along the way. I offer a variety of opportunities for learning, including regular group clinics at beautiful venues, private lessons, groundwork sessions, summer camps, and ridden schooling. With a background as a qualified primary school teacher of 14 years, I bring a deep understanding of different learning styles and needs, ensuring every rider can progress in a supportive and engaging way. Whether you're starting your journey or looking to refine your skills, my aim is to inspire confidence, enjoyment, and partnership in every rider.

What a summer it has been! 🐴☀️❤️
They say “never work with children or animals”… well, I think that saying was definitely not written for me! 😂 Because I absolutely love working with both!
There is something incredibly special about coaching children with their ponies. Watching their confidence grow, seeing those little lightbulb moments 💡, helping them overcome something they found difficult, and seeing the huge smiles when they achieve something they’ve worked hard for — it genuinely brings me so much pleasure.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to spend my summer coaching a large number of Pony Club camps, meeting so many wonderful children and ponies along the way. There have been plenty of laughs, tired children, happy ponies, new friendships, challenges overcome and memories made. 🥰
And today was the perfect way to finish my summer of Pony Club coaching — coaching at the Regional Championships at Rectory Farm. 🏆🐎
I feel incredibly proud watching the children I coach go out there, not just competing, but supporting each other, showing sportsmanship, developing their horsemanship and, most importantly, enjoying their ponies.
For me, coaching isn’t just about teaching someone how to ride. It’s about helping young people grow in confidence, learn to problem-solve, develop resilience and build a positive partnership with their pony — while having an enormous amount of fun along the way!
I feel very lucky to be able to do something I genuinely love. ❤️
So, never work with children or animals?

✨ Exciting times… our Pony Penpal project is underway! 🐴💌
So far, 4 children — 2 teens and 2 under-11s — have been paired up, written their very first letters to each other and popped them in the post box! 📮✉️
Would your pony-mad child love to have a penpal? 🐎💕
This is a lovely opportunity to:
✍️ Write a traditional letter to a new friend
💭 Share stories, experiences and pony adventures
📚 Practise and develop writing skills
🌟 Build confidence and creativity through writing
💌 Enjoy the excitement of receiving a real letter in the post!
I’m offering to create the connections and make the penpal magic happen! ✨
As part of my tutoring role, I can also offer writing support sessions, creative writing opportunities and poetry lessons, with ideas and pieces of writing that children could then share with their new penpal.
It’s a chance to combine a love of ponies, friendship and writing in a fun and traditional way. 🐴✉️
