Loose parts encourage problem-solving, creativity, imaginative play, and lots of conversations.

Last week the children worked together pushing, pulling, lifting to move the planks of wood, cable drums and pallets, they created a “Spaceship” that flew to the moon to get ice-cream.
It then become a big boat which the children jumped off into the sea - using their imagination the children turned into different sea creatures, we had mermaids, sharks, seals, jelly fish to name a few.

On the 7th of March, Busy Bees hosted our annual Spring Fundraising Bash — and what a fantastic night it was!

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended and to all those who worked so hard behind the scenes, running the bar to make the event such a success.

A special thank you goes to our wonderful sponsors for their generous support Franklyns Fish Farm , panamablue.co.uk, redhillgardenservices.co.uk, Butler & Co Chartered Accountants, T.Gray - Tree Surgery and Hedge Cutting Services and Martin Jay.

And to the fabulous local band Midwich Dawn, who kept us dancing all night long, we had a special surprise song from one of our mums Sarah, who did amazing.

We are incredibly grateful to share that we raised an amazing amount of money, which will go directly towards supporting our lovely pre-school.

This half term out topic has been “People who help us”
The children have loved learning and talking about important roles that different people play in our community, and how they keep us safe and healthy. The children have engaged in role play, read stories about different professions using books, bikes and dressing up.

We have sung many songs like “Miss Polly had a dolly” where the children took turns to act out Miss Polly and the doctor.

We had a visit from Hampshire Healthy Heroes who came to promote dental health with the children using a huge set of teeth they could use a big toothbrush and brush the teeth with toothpaste using a timer to show how long they should be brushed for. The children were fascinated and engaged in this activity.

The children have been busy making Easter cards and colouring wooden Easter decorations.
