Language Leaders in Action

Eleven of our Year 10 students have taken their language learning to the next level by completing the Language Leaders Award a fantastic programme that develops leadership skills through language teaching.

Over the course of the year, students have grown in confidence, strengthened their communication and organisational skills, and gained valuable experience that will support them in their future studies and careers.

A real highlight of the programme was delivering their own lessons to pupils at Sun Hill, inspiring the next generation of linguists.

Reflecting on the experience, Ms Ercolani, Programme Coordinator, said:
“My favourite part was seeing all of the students’ hard work and preparation come to life when they delivered their lessons to pupils at Sun Hill. It was incredibly rewarding to watch them inspire the next generation of linguists while demonstrating the confidence, enthusiasm and leadership skills they had developed throughout the year.”

We are so proud of all the students involved an amazing achievement.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in the Perins School Theatre production of Grease.

Whether you took centre stage in a leading role, supported from the wings, worked tirelessly backstage, managed the lighting and sound, or helped bring the whole production to life behind the scenes, every single one of you played a vital part in making this production such a success.

As NODA recognised:

"The spirit and energy of the musical were maintained in every line, movement, and song with unwavering commitment and enthusiasm. The singing was consistently strong, with confident harmonies and impressive musicality. You should all be immensely proud of what you have achieved and of the pride you have brought to your school and wider community."

We couldn't agree more. Your talent, teamwork, dedication and passion shone through in every performance, creating a truly memorable show. You have done yourselves, your families, staff and the entire Perins community proud.

Thank you and well done to our Primary School students, Community Choir and Band, who also shared the stage with us, we couldn't have done it without you!

Our Eco Club has been busy making a real difference.

Our Eco Club students recently took part in a community litter pick, helping to keep our local area clean and protect the environment. It’s fantastic to see such commitment to making a positive impact beyond the school gates.

Back at school, they also built a bug hotel, creating a new habitat for insects and supporting biodiversity on our grounds.

“It’s important because even small actions can make a big difference, we’re helping wildlife and keeping our community clean at the same time.”

These activities are all part of our journey towards achieving the Eco-Schools Award, and we’re so proud of our students for helping to care for our environment.

Perins School...Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers

Last week, a group of our Year 9 and 10 Computer Science students had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Girls into Electronics event, an inspiring day designed to encourage more young women into engineering and technology.

Throughout the day, students took part in hands-on activities, explored real-world applications of electronics, and heard from industry professionals about careers in the field. It was a brilliant chance to build confidence, develop new skills, and see what the future could hold.

A huge thank you to the University of Southampton and UKESF for providing such a valuable and inspiring opportunity to support the next generation of engineers.
