Book trailers are a brilliant way to bring books to life for audiences of all ages – and often encourage young readers to pick up a book they might not usually choose. Working with a large number of children’s publishers, we have brought you an edited selection of some of the best trailers available…

The visit from author GP Taylor was a huge success. Year 7 students and staff were at one moment roaring with laughter when he spoke about his school days then riveted by his ghost stories. A real master of suspense and surprise!

It is rare for a children's author to win the Costa Prize but this is fantastic news. As Frances Hardinge says, "...for those who think that children's YA fiction is not their thing, please do explore. There's a beautiful jungle out there." Available for students to borrow from the library.

Victorian murder mystery The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge is named Costa Book of the Year - only the second children's novel to win in the prize's history.

We are very excited to have the author G P Taylor visiting us at Perins during Arts Festival week.
