🌞 Summer Social Media Break 🌞

As another fantastic year of music-making comes to a close, Lincolnshire Music Service will be taking a break from social media over the summer holidays.

We hope all of our students, families, schools, and supporters have a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and plenty of music! 🎶

Thank you for being part of our musical community this year. We look forward to sharing more exciting opportunities, events, and achievements with you when we return in September.

🎶❤️ International Day of Friendship ❤️🎶

Today, we're celebrating the power of friendship and the special connections that music helps to create.

From first rehearsals to performances on stage, music brings people together, helping young people build confidence, support one another, and create lasting friendships. Whether it's sharing a music stand, playing in an ensemble, or cheering each other on at concerts, some of the best friendships start through a shared love of music.

At Lincolnshire Music Service, we're proud to see friendships flourish every day through our lessons, workshops, ensembles, and events across the county.

Calling all French Horn players.

🎶🎉 Young French horn players of all standards are welcome to join us for a fun-filled day of musical activity! 🎉🎶

Participants can look forward to warm-ups and ensemble sessions with Conservatoire students and teachers, and there will also be the opportunity to hear a performance by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra's amazing Principal Horn, Elspeth Dutch (pictured).

The full schedule will be published in September, and the day will conclude with an informal sharing of the ensembles' work at 4pm in Bradshaw Hall.

🎶 Exciting News from Lincolnshire Music Service! 🎶

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Murray as the new Head of Lincolnshire Music Service.

Helen joins us with a wealth of experience in music education leadership, most recently serving as Head of Yorkshire Young Musicians and previously holding senior leadership roles within Nottingham Music Service. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter as we continue to expand and strengthen musical opportunities for children and young people across Lincolnshire.

Helen will officially take up her role on 1 December.

Speaking about her appointment, Helen said:

“I am delighted to be taking up the role of Head of Lincolnshire Music Service and greatly look forward to getting to know the staff, students, schools, partners and the wider community across Lincolnshire. I am excited to work with colleagues to build on the Service’s excellent work to ensure its continued success in providing high-quality musical opportunities to inspire children and young people across the county.”

One week from today we will be hosting our Young Musicians' Talent Showcase at The Pincushion Wyberton

Please come along and help support and nurture young, up and coming artists. Sometimes a supportive audience can change someone's entire life path.

We start at 12 noon and aim to be finished around 4pm. There will be food available, a raffle and of course, some awesome live music.
