Halloween celebrations 2026

We’re excited to host this year’s Halloween event at Over Stowey Village Hall. Tickets are £5 per person and include pumpkin carving, Halloween games, a best fancy dress prize, hot dogs and plenty more spooky fun. A licensed bar will also be open throughout the event.
Tickets can be purchased from staff at Stowey Bears — our card machine is currently out of action, so cash is preferred.

Our children have gained so much from their PE sessions with Joe.
From learning to follow simple instructions to building confidence through active play, these sessions have quickly become a valuable part of our weekly offer. Joe’s calm, engaging approach supports children of all ages and abilities, and we’ve already seen wonderful progress in their listening skills, coordination and enthusiasm for physical activity.
We’re so pleased to have this as part of what we provide at Stowey Bears Preschool — a truly positive addition to our curriculum and to the children’s overall development.

Yesterday Rachel and Tina travelled to Coventry to attend a childcare and education expo. As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening our provision, leadership and curriculum, we took part in this event to stay fully up to date with the latest early years guidance, resources and best practice.

These expos bring together sector specialists, Ofsted advisors and SEND experts, offering fresh ideas, practical solutions and new tools that directly benefit the children. They also give us the opportunity to explore high‑quality resources, enhance our learning environments and remain informed about any changes within the early years sector.

Attending events like this ensures Stowey Bears continues to move forward with the highest standards of care, safety and education

Attention: Parents/Carers,

The Citizen Portal will open on MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER for children who are starting school for the first time in September 2027, or are transferring to a junior or middle school in September 2027.

The closing date for on time applications is 15 January 2027.
Please note: We always recommend you include your catchment school as one of your preferences. If you don't and it becomes oversubscribed, we can't guarantee your child a place there and if you don't get offered one of the schools you have chosen, your child might be offered a school further away with no travel assistance.

A group of our Preschool children took part in their very first PE lesson with our qualified coach, Joe. They absolutely loved it, and we’re so proud to be able to offer these enriching experiences as part of their curriculum.
