Every week your little rascal will have the chance to bring Alphones home and make some wonderful art. Please bring back the art for your rascals to share with their friends at nursery. Please don't forget to pop some pictures into the book so we can see how you made your masterpiece!

Owl Babies Activity Tray 🦉
We have had lots of fun exploring the 'Owl Babies' Book and created the book into activity tray . We read the story and explored the tray focussing on our communication and language development throughout :)the Cheeky Hens very much enjoyed this .

Recipe of the Month !!

Cheese and Tomato Swirl

1 packet of ready to roll puff pastry
50g Tomato puree
cheese of your choice

Method :-

Roll out puff pastry
Add thin layer of thin layer of Tomato Puree
Grate Cheese of choice and spread over the Tomato Puree
Roll the Puff Pastry into a swirl then cut into portions
place onto baking tray
Cook on 200 degrees for 20 Mins
Enjoy !!

Talking about the places we like to go on Holiday 😎
Preschool have had a special 'Holidays' carpet time and activity Today. Lots of us are going on holiday or looking forward to going on holiday. We have read a book today called 'Around the world with Max and Lemon'. We have shared our own experiences of our own holidays or home holidays and listened to our friend's experiences.

Eclipse Post🌒
Preschool have been very excited about the eclipse on Wednesday. We have talked alot about what happens during a solar eclipse. Preschool have had fun playing with our space tray, exploring the solar system using a giant book, making a solar eclipse and looking through Liz's pinhole projector to see the projection of the sun. We have explained that we don't look straight at the sun and to watch the eclipse, we either need eclipse glasses or we need to make a pinhole projector like Liz. Everyone has had a practice of using the projector., which can be easily made out of a box and some foil.

Construction !!
Over the last few weeks have been observing your cheeky hens and talking about their favourite things to play with, we had a lot of them talk about the blocks and tractors. So we have decided that this week will be all about construction! This includes building blocks, magnetic tiles, roads, train tracks and lots of different materials that they have all enjoyed building and making towers with. This tray focuses in on the types of vehicles we see at construction sites or outside of nursery (since there is always seems to be some kind of construction going on) and explores natural materials we can use to build and create with .

Owl AWARENESS DAY 🦉
The owls are part of our own private collection at home. They have all been rescued, and we were delighted to share this experience with the children. The visit provided an opportunity to widen the children's understanding of owls, their needs, and the importance of caring for wildlife and protecting these magnificent birds for the future. In addition, I brought along a selection of falconry equipment for the children to explore and learn about. An activity tray was also set up to encourage hands-on learning and further develop the children's knowledge and curiosity about owls, birds of prey, and their care.
The children thoroughly enjoyed meeting the owls, exploring the equipment, and learning more about their habitats, behaviours, and welfare. It was a fantastic opportunity to promote respect for wildlife and inspire an interest in the natural world.

Preschool have been crafting some flowers outside in the Garden. The children have been designing their flowers, using sticky tape and glue to attach the stem and foamy petals to the paper! To crate some lovely flowers. This is a great way to develop their creative skill , Fine motor skill and taking turns while been in the outdoors .

Pre School Graduation 🎓
We wanted to share a few photo's of our lovely Graduation, we went to the church to celebrate the school levers time with us . We would like to wish them good luck in their new adventure .

Developing fine motor Skills
Cheeky Hens have had lots of cleaning the tray and the toys which they loves using spray bottles to help develop their fine motor skill and strengthen the muscles in their hands. T he children had lots of fun exploring this tray .
