Neston Pre-school Playgroup

Neston Pre-school Playgroup Neston Pre-school Playgroup is a parent committee run group situated in a rural setting. It takes children from 2 years up until school age.

The setting has very good links with the local Primary school and other schools in the area. The children experience a wide range of activities including Forest School and the setting is part of the Wiltshire Outdoor Play and Learning project. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am until 3pm. We offer sessions until noon, 1pm and 3pm. We also offer noon until 3pm.

This is a message from all of the staff -

Thank you all so very much for the kind words, cards and gifts we have received today and over the week. We have been totally overwhelmed by them all.

It’s been a week of lasts, the last breakfast and afterschool and the last day for some children who we’ve had since they were 2years old!!!

Thank you all and have a fantastic summer 😎⛱️🕶️

To those of you back in September, we look forward to seeing you all, along with the new children. We are back Monday 7th September.

Sad day for breakfast and afterschool today - it was the last one at preschool 😢

There has been a vast increase in numbers of families who require the clubs, and sadly we are unable to provide spaces for so many!!!

So from September they will be part of Neston Primary, still with Ben and Lina whom we shall miss.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years and the team of staff who ran the clubs.

Well done to our little ones today who took part in our end of term production - The Hungry Caterpillar 🐛.
They were all fantastic and did a brilliant job. Special mention to Indie who was the butterfly 🦋 and Brody who was the caterpillar 🐛 for their duet in German. So proud of each and every one of you.

For the last few weeks we’ve been talking about summer and iwhat it means to us. We’ve made crabs, seagulls ( “they steal your food” Brody told us), cold drinks ( “ you need to drink when it’s hot” they all said), ice creams and lollipops and sunshine. Today we painted feet to make flip flops!
We’ve all so had work experience in this week. She played “duck, duck, goose”, “tag”, at the play dough, dolls, and attempted to teach them noughts and crosses!!! The children loved her and will miss her next week 😢

Due to the current weather forecast, we are unfortunately having to close some of our sessions.

The decision to close is never taken lightly, but we must ensure that the safety of the children and our staff is taken seriously.

With this in mind, the following sessions will be closed;

Breakfast Club
All sessions remain open as normal PROVIDING that Neston Primary School remains open. If the Primary School closes, we will also be closed.

Preschool
Tuesday 23rd June - OPEN as normal
Wednesday 24th June - CLOSED as normal
Thursday 25th June - CLOSED due to the weather forecast
Friday 26th June - OPEN as normal, please keep your phones handy, if the temperature becomes too much, we will be in touch for an early closure.

After School Club
Tuesday 23rd June - CLOSED due to the temperature in the Upper Church Room
Wednesday 24th June - CLOSED due to the school closing at 12.30pm
Thursday 25th June - CLOSED due to the school closing at 12.30pm

A massive thank you to everyone who came to our sports day this morning, under the shade of the tree, hats 🧢 suntan lotion 🧴 and drinks with a breeze!!
We had a running race, bean bags on head, bean bags in hoops and through the tunnel races. The children told us this afternoon that they had a great time and liked the bean bag on head race and watching their parents….. oh and the medals 🥇
The parents did a sack race and a water transferring into buckets race. Thank you again to all who took part.
