In preparation for the new academic year Petra from Wirral FUSS visited school today to collect all of the uniform donations. If you need any uniform items please contact Wirral FUSS directly, where they will be able to help with all items. This is an amazing charity that works tirelessly to support our community. 💛💙

✨ SHINE Awards 2026 ✨

During our final week in school, we came together to celebrate our wonderful pupils at our annual SHINE Awards – a special occasion recognising the achievements, effort and determination shown throughout the academic year.

The theme of our celebration mirrored the theme for the school year…..anything is possible when we work hard, believe in ourselves and never give up. Our children continue to inspire us every day with their resilience, kindness and commitment to being the very best they can be.

It was a privilege to present awards recognising a wide range of achievements, including our 100% Attendance Awards, celebrating those pupils who demonstrated outstanding commitment to coming to school every single day.

Every child should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved this year. Whether receiving an award today or making progress in their own unique way, each and every pupil has helped make our school community a place where everyone can shine.

Thank you to our families for your continued support throughout the year and for working in partnership with us to help our children thrive.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and well done to every single pupil. We wish you all a wonderful summer break and can't wait to see what you achieve next year! 🌟💙

St Winefride’s HAS Got Talent 2026

Our school was filled with excitement, laughter and applause as our wonderful pupils took to the stage for this year’s fantastic St Winefride’s Has Got Talent Show! The event showcased the incredible confidence, creativity and talent of our children, making it a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved.

Keeping the audience entertained throughout the afternoon were our very own Ant and Dec, who did a brilliant job as hosts. Their humour, confidence and enthusiasm ensured the show ran smoothly and kept everyone smiling.

Our star-studded judging panel featured Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Alesha Dixon, KSI and Amanda Holden (or should we say, their very convincing lookalikes!). They had the difficult task of judging an outstanding range of performances, from singing and dancing to comedy, magic and many other amazing acts. Every performer should be incredibly proud of stepping onto the stage and sharing their talents with us.

A huge thank you goes to all of the children who entered the competition. Your courage, hard work and determination made the event such a success. We would also like to thank all of our families for their wonderful support, helping with costumes, props and rehearsals. Your encouragement played a huge part in making the performances so special.

Special thanks must also go to Mrs O’Gorman and the Student Council for all of their hard work in organising the event. Their planning, enthusiasm and teamwork ensured everything ran seamlessly and created a fantastic experience for our whole school community.

It was also a pleasure to welcome Dr Branch, Chair of Governors, and Mr Cheetham, Parent Governor, who joined us to enjoy the performances and celebrate the incredible talents of our pupils.
