Helens Childminding - Nelson, Lancashire A reliable, qualified, experienced and dedicated child care provider, offering fun, educational and I am a mum of 2 boys l, who are growing up far too fast.

I am an OFSTED Registered Childminder based just off Causeyfoot Nelson, Lancashire. I have been a Childminder since 2005, I am NVQ L3 Qualified and was previously a Teaching Assistant. I love my work and will continue providing childcare for a very long time. I have provided continuous childcare for many families who have been more than satisfied with my work. The children I care for are my world

and I will endeavour to keep them safe, teach and encourage them to blossom into happy individuals. My setting is very well equipped providing entertainment and education for children from birth onwards. I am able to offer the funded 15/30 hours a week childcare for 3-4 year olds and qualifying 2 year olds. Some of the activities we do are... arts and crafts, such as card making, painting, colouring, handwriting practice, gluing and sticking ect, messy play, sand and water play, story time, dancing, singing, baking, dressing up, musical intrument play, ICT, planting and growing, looking at minibeasts and wildlife and construction, to name a few. I will do all I can to make your child as school ready as possible. We attend regular the allotments, playgroups, soft play centres, supermarkets, shops and parks, when safe to do so. All the children I care for under 5 are observed by me, i use trackers to track thier progress. I also create a scrap book, filled with memories and photos to take with them when they eventually leave. I offer full and part time childcare, holiday club, and provide a pick up and drop off service from Holy Trinity R.C. Primary School Brierfield. I will advertise any vacancies on my page. It's with great sadness I must announce I will be closing my doors for good. As some know I live in rented accommodation. My landlord has informed me that he wishes to sell.

I'm not in a position to buy, and I've tried relentlessly to find somewhere suitable to childmind from. Landlords don't want childminders living in their homes, it seems. Rent prices are ridiculous. There's nowhere nearby, big enough, in my budget, that will accept me, so I've been forced to rethink my future.

I will be working my last day on the 17th March. Then I will take on a new role in a childrens home.

This way, I can find a home easier for my family and have the stability to finally, hopefully, get back on the property ladder.

I've absolutely adored my job for the last almost 18 years. I never lost my passion for Childminding. I'm so sorry for letting my current parents down. If this situation wasn't like this, I would of been a Childminder until retirement.

My robe delivery has just arrived. Each child now has their very own robe/dressing gown to wear at mine, to keep warm and cosy in winter (just as I do 😆). Feel free to bring slippers for your children to wear in my setting too. My home is their home 🏠 xx
