🤖💡 BFC in the Community! 💻✨

This week, Rachel brought something new for our Year 6 learners to investigate — Sphero BOLTs! 🚀

Our learners have been exploring how to programme the individual LED lights on the Sphero BOLT’s light matrix to create their very own designs. This week’s theme? ⚽ FOOTBALL TEAMS! 🏆 It was fantastic to see their creativity and coding skills in action!

But we’re not stopping there… 👀 Next week, it’s time to bring their Sphero BOLTs to life and get them moving! 🤖💨 We can’t wait to see what they create next!

A big thank you to Rachel and Burnley Football Club in the Community for another fantastic learning opportunity! 🙌

On Tuesday afternoon, our Year 5 learners had a fantastic time learning how to play Street Cricket with Paul! 🏏 We saw some brilliant batting, some even better catching and plenty of smiles along the way! 🙌😄

Today, our learners and staff have dressed up in their best rockstar outfits to battle it out on the Times Tables Rock Stars leaderboard! ⭐🎤

It was a close competition, and everyone had a fantastic morning cheering on their classmates and showing off their times tables skills! 🥁🎶

💛🌈 Mental Health Awareness Day at Marsden! 🌈💛

Yesterday, our learners came together to raise awareness of mental health, wearing bright colours to spread positivity and happiness! 💛✨

They enjoyed a special assembly about mental health and how we can support others, before ending the day with a lovely act of kindness. 💌 Our learners across school designed and wrote kindness postcards for patients and their families at Pendleside Hospice, hoping to brighten their day with thoughtful messages and colourful designs. 💛

Mrs Rimmer will be delivering the postcards to Pendleside Hospice this week. We are so proud of our learners for showing such kindness, compassion and care for others! 🥰💛

Yesterday, our Year 3 classes welcomed local printmaker Alan Birch into school to explore the fascinating art of printing! The learners had the exciting opportunity to use a real printing press and experiment with engraving paper. 🖌️✨
