Smiles like this are the whole point.

Confidence does not come from getting every answer right. It comes from feeling safe enough to have a go, ask the question and get it wrong without worrying about it.

That is the atmosphere we work hard to create at every Learning Cubs centre.

Spaces are available, and funded and subsidised places are too, so tuition can cost families little to nothing.

With our hands we build, we help, we create and we learn.

A little look inside one of our learning spaces. Bright, calm and set up for small group work, with everything within reach and plenty of room to spread out.

We think the environment matters. Children learn better somewhere that feels welcoming rather than somewhere that feels like more school.

That moment when it finally clicks.

There is nothing quite like the look on a child's face when something they have been wrestling with suddenly makes sense. It is why we cap our groups at six, so every single one of these moments gets noticed and celebrated.

Our tutors work at your child's pace, building confidence alongside ability.

Our Roald Dahl Day winners! 🏆

What a week. Our Cubs read, wrote and dressed up, and the prizes have now been handed out. The costumes were brilliant and choosing winners was genuinely difficult.

We are keeping the momentum going too, because October is Poetry Month at Learning Cubs.

Today is National Poetry Day, and this year's theme is Wonder. ✨

We're marking it in Nelson by making the whole of October our Poetry Month.

📖 Poetry reading
✏️ Creative writing
🏆 Competitions and prizes

All month, our students will be writing their own poems and entering our competition, with prizes for our favourites. A poem doesn't have to be long or complicated. Big ideas can live in very small words, and we can't wait to see what our Cubs come up with.

This is part of our ongoing Literacy Initiative, raising reading enjoyment and supporting children from early years and beyond, whatever their starting point.

Got a young writer at home?

Pop into our Nelson centre to take part. 🌟

The biggest testament to us is our students 🐻🐾

If they’re enjoying themselves, progress naturally follows, both in the classroom and out.

Straight back into the swing of things this 1st September!

We had a wonderful summer of holiday sessions, sports days and summer clubs - now we’re back to the curriculum and building confidence in the classroom 💪🏻🚀📚

Our summer sessions built friendships that extend far beyond the holidays, across age groups and abilities and we’re excited to watch our students flourish this academic year 🌸🌱

If you’re still thinking about childcare and tuition this academic year, chat with us and let’s get you off to a flying start! ☺️
