🌈Week 3 at Melin Childcare & Flying Start 🌈

What an amazing way to finish our final week before breaking up for the summer holidays! 💛 It has been another week full of laughter, learning, creativity, and endless opportunities for play.

This week, the children enjoyed threading pasta with wool to strengthen their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination🧶

Cooling off with water balloon fun in the sunshine, The children absolutely loved this!☀️💦🎈
Also, developing their physical skills through bike riding and active outdoor play🚴‍♂️🏀
Our dinosaur-themed tuff tray, inspired by a favourite story, encouraged imaginative play, language development, and a love of books🦕🦖📖
We also visited our local parks gave the children the chance to explore nature, build confidence, and enjoy the outdoors. The children absolutely loved exploring our local area over the 3 weeks , we are very grateful for our surroundings🛝🥰

Our creative areas have been just as busy! The children explored painting in a variety of exciting ways, including painting with toy animals, chalkboard drawing, and summer colouring, where they were free to use their imagination and creativity however they chose🎨🫟🖌️
They also loved exploring our sea life tuff tray🌊🐠🐬🐳🐟🪸
We explored our new outdoor reading area in our garden, The children enjoyed reading and exploring🪵🌳📚
Our play dough station has been such a success, the children have used it in every possible aspect! We are very impressed🥰
A fan favourite for the children is our magnetic tiles, they never get bored! helping to develop their communication, problem-solving, creativity, and independent thinking through play🧱☺️

As our Summer Holiday Club comes to an end, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful children and families for making it such a memorable few weeks☀️We have loved creating special memories together and watching the children learn, explore, and grow through play🌼

We hope you all have a wonderful, safe, and relaxing rest of the summer, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back soon! ☀️🌈

✨ A Little Sneak Peek! ✨

We’ve been busy giving our childcare setting a fresh new look! 🧸🎨 We’ve rearranged our room to create even more inviting spaces for the children to explore, play, and learn.

It’s still very much a work in progress, and we have lots more exciting ideas to bring to life over the coming weeks. There are still plenty of little touches to add, resources to introduce, and creative spaces to develop, but we couldn’t wait to share our progress with you!

We’re so excited to see our vision come together and can’t wait for the children to enjoy all the new opportunities for imaginative play, exploration, and learning. Keep an eye on our page for more updates as our ideas continue to come to life! 💛🌿

🌞 Summer Holidays – Week 2 🌞

What another fantastic week we’ve had! 💛

This week the children enjoyed a lovely walk to Eagles Bridge, where we spotted horses, rabbits and explored our local community. We also visited the local park and basketball court, making the most of the wonderful outdoor play opportunities around us. 🌳🐴🐇

Sea life has continued to be a huge favourite this week, with the children exploring a variety of exciting ocean-themed activities. We also got creative by making our own delicious pizzas 🍕 and transformed an old sheet into a giant canvas for some fantastic sheet painting! 🎨

The children have loved spending lots of time outdoors, enjoying bike riding, obstacle courses and cooling off with water play. We were also excited to introduce our brand new playdough station, which has already been a big hit! 🌈

Our week has also been filled with arts and crafts, engaging animal-themed tuff trays and celebrating World Friendship Day by encouraging kindness, teamwork and building positive friendships. ❤️

It’s been another week full of laughter, creativity, exploration and learning through play. We can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings! 🌟
