Our next clothing collection is 9th October, please send in any items that would be suitable for the rags to riches collection, no uniform, clean reusable clothes only please, we don't get bags anymore sorry, please use any bag except for other charity bags. Please share! Thank you .

And another fundraiser for Maes y Coed has started! Rhian Bryan from Dosbarth Gwyrdd has told us that her brother is completing the Chester Triple Series and has chosen to raise funds for YMC in the process. If you are able to donate or just share that would help us to reach Steve's goal of £227.50 - £5 for every mile he has run.

Last night we attended an annual fundraising concert at Saron Chapel in Bryncoch where Ysgol Maes y Coed had been chosen as the receiving charity for this year.
Neath Male Choir and guests Penny George and Richard John performed a amazing ensemble to a nearly sell out crowd.
A fantastic £660 was raised for the ptfa through ticket sales and raffle.
We were thrilled to be chosen this year and what a fantastic way to kick start our fundraising for the academic year. On to organising the first 19 things events!

We’ve just hit the £250 marker for the Swansea Bay 10k in aid of the 19 before 19 initiative, run by Ysgol Maes y Coed PTFA

The Race number had arrived and it’s only 12 days until the event. Still plenty of time to sponsor and help out a great cause. Thanks to all who’ve donated up until now 💙💚

The start of a new school year is the perfect time to have a clear out of old uniform, summer clothes and anything the children have somehow outgrown over the holidays.

If you are thinking of using a clothes bank, please consider choosing ours and helping raise funds for 𝗬𝘀𝗴𝗼𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗲𝘀 𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗧𝗙𝗔.

We are collecting 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻, 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀, bagged up and dropped into the 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿.

Every bag helps us raise money for our pupils while also giving unwanted clothes a second life.

There will be 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮, 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀, because no meeting should happen without a hot drink and snacks.

We will be appointing new committee members, discussing volunteer opportunities and looking at future event ideas and requests for the year ahead.

Whether you would like to take on a PTFA role, volunteer when you can, share ideas, or simply find out more about what we do, we would love to see you there.

You can also express your interest in a PTFA role by messaging 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗷𝗼, messaging 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 or by coming along to the meeting.
