All their hard work paid off and they will soon have the certificates to prove it! After such a crazy year, when so much has been against them, they have got up, dusted themselves off and got going again! So proud of them. 👏👏👏👏❤❤

Well its been a busy couple of weeks, and I am thrilled to say that pupils will be taking exams again on Wednesday 14th July. They have all worked hard, so let's hope they go in feeling confident, and do their absolute best. Good Luck all - you will be fine! 👌👍🎹💕💕

Monday 7th June....15 months since I stopped teaching from home because of covid in the local school, I have finally taught a lesson face to face or should that be mask to mask? Thanks to my pupil for being the guinea pig, but the ice has been broken, and it will go more easily from here.

I have changed my piano stool for one which is wipeable with anti-bac wipes, and the usual hand gel is available on arrival. The work table and chair are also wipeable so the pupils' work environment is cleaned between pupils.

Only seeing a few pupils at present, but will open the door to previous pupils to return in the next week or so, and will then fill remaining slots with new pupils.

What's the saying...if you snooze you lose? Slots never stay empty for long, so call sooner rather than later.

Hi everyone, Well after a massive gap in our teaching plans, I was hoping to be able to start up again in September. Annoyingly I caught a cold at the end of August and wanted to wait the full two weeks to make sure nothing else was going to develop, but by then there was talk of new Lockdowns, and so here we are in October with no lessons still.

As I teach from my home, it is all the more difficult, because we are not allowed in each other's homes at the moment. I obviously cannot break the rules as it would be illegal and put everybody at risk.

Some people are managing to teach online, so this is something we could consider if you think you would like to give that a try, but I know that some of you are already doing School and College work online, and that it is very tiring.

I am also aware that some of the families will be on reduced wages or have lost jobs, and I know that money for 'extras' may not be available.

All told, I am thinking maybe we should just sit it out and get back to teaching as soon as we are able to actually meet up. Let's see how it goes, and I will be in touch soon.

In the meantime, please keep on playing, and do your best not to let things slide too much! Practising scales is very good for your fingers, and will keep your movements smooth. Happy playing!

Hello Everybody!!! It has been SO long since we had lessons, that I am getting worried you will all have forgotten how to practice/play. So I am issuing a challenge. Please will you record yourselves playing something and post it on here, just for fun. It doesn't have to be a formal piece...just anything you have been playing lately. Please don't show yourselves, just your hands, but do post a name and title of the piece. We can make a virtual concert for ourselves instead of the summer one. If you want to post more than one you can....its up to you. Who is going to give it a go?
