Happy Friday 🥳

At Woodlands, our children have enjoyed a wonderful week filled with both indoor and outdoor exploration as we gently ease them back into the school routine. We’ve been supporting them as they tackle their first days, which can be quite daunting for some as they leave their loved ones and enter new surroundings. We are so proud of the big steps they've all taken! Our dedicated staff are committed to maintaining a calming, inviting, and free-flowing environment. It's important for children to express their emotions, as feelings of overwhelm can surface in various ways, including tiredness, sadness, or even anger. 💖

We’re excited to welcome someone who truly cares about giving children the best support in their learning journey. Our focus is on creating a child-led environment that encourages choice and play. Due to our expansion we need your help.
We offer a wrap around service for four local schools, so having a driving license and your own car would be a great help in expanding our service.
We’d love you to join us on this adventure!
While qualifications are a bonus, they aren’t essential however, experience working in a childcare environment is!
What matters to us is your passion for working with children!

Michelle, Helen, and the team have crafted a fantastic finale to the summer holidays! We enjoyed a delightful BBQ tea featuring salad, dips, crisps, and fresh fruit. The children had the freedom to unleash their creativity with paints, blobbers, and glitter, not just on their t-shirts but throughout their play. We also explored wonderful sensory bags filled with rice, pasta, and vibrant neon colours. The playdough was a multi-sensory experience with its glitter, flowers, flour, and summer-themed cutters. The excitement carried on in the garden with a sensory water station, enhanced by the lovely aroma of mint—what a treat! To wrap up the day, everyone gathered to enjoy our BBQ banquet while sharing laughs and cherished memories with friends.
As we reach the end of this term, we must say our goodbyes. Some of our little learners are heading back to school, while others are taking their first steps into this new adventure. We wish them all the best and feel truly honoured to have been part of their Woodlands journey.💖💖
Mae Michelle, Helen, a'r tîm wedi creu diweddglo gwych i wyliau'r haf! Roeddem wedi mwynhau te BBQ hyfryd gyda salad, dips, crisps, a ffrwythau ffres. Roedd gan y plant rhyddid i ryddhau eu creadigrwydd gyda phaentiadau, blobbers, a glitter, nid yn unig ar eu crys-t ond trwy gydol eu chwarae. Roeddem hefyd yn archwilio bagiau synhwyraidd rhyfeddol wedi'u llawn gyda reis, pasta, a llyniau neon bywiog. Roedd y playdough yn profiad amlddefnydd gyda glitter, blodau, blawd, a thorwyr themâu haf. Parhaodd y gyffro yn y gardd gyda gorsaf ddŵr synhwyraidd, wedi'i wella gan arogl hyfryd y mint—pa bleser! I gloi'r dydd, daeth pawb at ei gilydd i fwynhau ein baned BBQ tra'n rhannu chwerthin a chofion annwyl gyda ffrindiau.

Emily has put in a fantastic effort to organise a park visit for 30 children today. All the children had the opportunity to engage in outdoor physical exploration. Those who felt comfortable could push their limits, whether that was climbing high or low without staff assistance or trying out the swings for the first time and feeling that delightful tummy tickle. Allowing children to take safe risks and explore their capabilities in a controlled environment is an excellent way to help them build confidence and self-esteem. Fresh air and experiencing nature—like the wind on their faces, rain on their skin, the sound of the river, and the feel of the grass—contribute to the well-being and mental health of both children and staff. It’s all about enjoying that wonderful sense of freedom!
