💙🌍 Giving back while making a difference!

A visit to the Foundation of Goodness Centre of Excellence gave our students the opportunity to learn about the inspiring work being carried out to support rural communities across Sri Lanka.

Founded to help bridge the gap between rural and urban opportunities, the Foundation provides education, skills development, sport and community programmes that empower people to reach their full potential. It was a privilege to visit the charity's flagship headquarters in Seenigama and gain a greater understanding of the positive impact it has on thousands of lives.

The students then headed out for a beach clean-up, where everyone rolled up their sleeves to help protect Sri Lanka's beautiful coastline. It was a fantastic way to give back to the local community while caring for our environment.

🐢💙 Conservation, education and an unforgettable experience!

A visit to the Kosgoda Turtle Conservation and Research Centre gave our students the incredible opportunity to learn about the vital work being done to protect Sri Lanka's endangered sea turtles and preserve these incredible species for future generations!

Our students had the opportunity to explore the remarkable Galle Dutch Fort, one of Sri Lanka's most treasured historic landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Originally built in 1588 on the beautiful southwestern coast of Sri Lanka at the Bay of Galle, the fort has stood for centuries and offered our students a fascinating insight into the country's rich history and cultural heritage.

As part of their unforgettable visit to Sri Lanka, our students explored the renowned Giragama Tea Factory! 🌿

Gaining a fascinating insight into one of the country's most famous industries, our students learned about the journey of tea from freshly picked leaves to the finished product.

They also had the opportunity to sample a selection of locally produced teas while learning about the importance of tea production to Sri Lanka's history, economy and culture.

🇬🇧🇨🇳 Celebrating cultural connections between the UK and China

The event brought together senior leaders, educators and students from across China and the UK to celebrate the richness of both cultures through an inspiring showcase of talent and collaboration.

The audience enjoyed outstanding performances from the Chinese participants, including traditional instrumental music, elegant dance and powerful martial arts. British students also demonstrated their own talents, creating a genuine cultural dialogue both on stage and throughout the day. Beyond the performances, the event provided valuable opportunities for meaningful discussions on how we can continue to strengthen social, cultural and language connections between our two countries.

Events like these remind us that education has the power to transcend borders. When people come together face-to-face, they do far more than learn about each other’s cultures. They build lasting friendships, deepen mutual understanding and create partnerships that help shape a more connected future.

Our sincere thanks to the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, Ministry of Education, for hosting such a meaningful and inspiring occasion. We hope this marks the beginning of many more opportunities for people from Britain and China to learn, connect and grow together.

A Taste of Traditional Sri Lanka 🌿🚜🛶

Our students enjoyed a fantastic cultural experience during their visit to Habarana Village, where they discovered the traditions, flavours and warm hospitality of rural Sri Lanka.

Their adventure began with a journey to the village using a variety of local modes of transport, offering a unique glimpse into everyday village life. Once there, they took part in a traditional Sri Lankan cooking demonstration, learning about authentic local ingredients and techniques before enjoying a delicious homemade lunch together.

The day also included a visit to a local spice garden, where students explored the fascinating world of Sri Lanka's famous herbs and spices, learning how they are grown and used in both cooking and traditional remedies.

🦁🐘 An unforgettable adventure in the wild! 🌿

Our NPTC Group of Colleges students had an incredible time exploring the incredible Minneriya National Park in Sri Lanka on safari!

From spotting majestic elephants in their natural habitat to discovering the breathtaking beauty and biodiversity of Sri Lanka, the visit gave our students a unique opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and immerse themselves in another culture.

Our students had a fantastic day exploring the breathtaking Golden Temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka.

From its incredible cave temples and stunning Buddhist murals to the spectacular hilltop views, the visit offered a fascinating insight into the country's rich history, culture, and spiritual heritage.

Experiences like these bring learning to life, giving our students the opportunity to broaden their horizons, appreciate different cultures, and create memories that will last a lifetime. 🌏

Greetings from Sri Lanka!

Our students have officially arrived in beautiful Sri Lanka and are already making the most of this incredible trip!

After settling in, the students spent the day exploring the vibrant city of Colombo, taking in some of its most iconic landmarks, including the stunning Gangaramaya Temple, the historic Wolvendaal Church, Independence Square, and the peaceful Viharamahadevi Park. 🌿🏛️

An amazing start to what promises to be an unforgettable adventure filled with new cultures, experiences, and lifelong memories. We can't wait to share more highlights from the journey!

This week, we had the great pleasure of taking our Swiss students on a cultural day out to St Fagans National Museum of History — one of Wales’ most iconic heritage sites. 🛖

From traditional Welsh buildings and historic homes to learning about the rich culture and history of Wales, it was a fantastic opportunity for our students to immerse themselves in Welsh life beyond the classroom.
