We are incredibly proud of our 2026 leavers!
They are kind, polite, funny, caring, and they amaze us every single day. It has been an absolute privilege to watch each and every one of them grow in confidence, develop new skills, make friendships, and truly thrive here at Woodland Corner.

I can't quite believe we've reached the end of our six-week Forest School journey at Woodland Corner Preschool!

As always, we started in our log circle with our tapping sticks and Forest School commitments. Once again, the children proudly remembered all three promises completely independently, something that has been wonderful to watch develop over the past few weeks.

To celebrate our final session, the mud kitchen became a woodland bakery, complete with colourful cake cases and candles. There were plenty of muddy cakes, imaginative play and lots of laughter!

The rope swing returned one last time, but I raised it slightly to add an extra challenge. We also introduced a slackline, and although there was some hesitation at first, the children quickly grew in confidence. In fact, they even asked if I could make it harder!

The children also continued using the bit and brace hand drill for their wood slice necklaces, showing just how much their confidence and tool skills have grown. For those wanting a quieter activity, we created a cosy reading area beneath the trees.

Looking back over the last six weeks, I'm incredibly proud of every child. Watching their confidence, resilience, teamwork and love of the outdoors grow has been such a privilege.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff, children and families at Woodland Corner Preschool for allowing me to complete the practical element of my Forest School Leader training with you. I've loved every minute of it and have had just as much fun as the children! ❤️🌳
