While school is closed for the summer holidays, our much-loved chickens are still enjoying plenty of care and attention! ☀️💛

A huge thank you to the dedicated staff who are helping to look after them during the break, ensuring they are fed, watered and happy every day. 🥚🚰🌾

The chickens are making the most of the quieter school gardens, enjoying the sunshine and exploring their surroundings. 🌻🐓🌱

I went to check on our guinea pigs today, but it seems they've fully embraced the summer holidays! 😆

They had decided the best place to be was hiding away in their hutches, enjoying some peace and quiet while being looked after over the break. 🏡💚 Lucky little things! 🍀

We are pleased to report that all are happy, healthy, and clearly making the most of their holiday relaxation time. 🥕😴🐹🐹🐹

What a fantastic return to the Ardèche!
A re-post to remind ourselves of our students enjoying an unforgettable week kayaking through the Ardèche Gorge, climbing, ziplining and exploring spectacular caves. They threw themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm and were a real credit to the school throughout.

Day 3 in Berlin

Another brilliant day of discovery as our students continued to explore the history, culture and landmarks of Berlin.

From the fascinating exhibits of the DDR Museum to the stunning views from the Reichstag Dome and roof terrace, there were plenty of opportunities to learn more about Germany’s past and present. Students also spent time at the iconic Brandenburg Gate, enjoyed a spot of shopping at The Mall of Berlin, and visited the powerful Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, where they reflected thoughtfully on the importance of remembrance and the lessons history continues to teach us.

Another fantastic day, and our students have continued to represent Ryedale School with maturity, curiosity and respect wherever we’ve gone.

🌱☀️ Our school garden has coped well over the summer, despite the prolonged dry weather. While the hot conditions and lack of rain have certainly taken their toll in places, it's wonderful to see some of our fruits, vegetables and flowers still producing and adding colour to the garden. 🥕🍅🌻

Gardening is always at the mercy of the weather, and this summer's drought has provided plenty of learning opportunities about resilience, care and sustainability. 💧🌿

We look forward to welcoming students back to see how the garden has fared and to get growing again in the new school year! 🌱😊

RE-POST - Day two of the Berlin trip was a day of learning and reflection.

Our first stop was Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum, where students explored the history of the former concentration camp and took time to reflect on the experiences of those who suffered there. Throughout the visit, our students were thoughtful, respectful and engaged, asking insightful questions and showing great maturity as they learned about this important chapter of history.

Later in the day, we visited the iconic Olympic Stadium, discovering its fascinating sporting history and architecture while enjoying a completely different side of Berlin.

A memorable day filled with powerful learning experiences that will stay with us long after the trip has ended. 🇩🇪

🌈🎉 Just in case you missed it.....Enrichment Day 1 – Colour Run Success! 🎉🌈
What an incredible start to Enrichment Day 1! Our Colour Run was a huge success, with students embracing the fun, laughter, and colourful chaos from start to finish. 😊
A huge thank you to all of the staff involved in organising and running the event. Their enthusiasm, energy, and hard work helped make the day such a memorable experience for everyone.
Most importantly, it was fantastic to see our students having so much fun, showing great spirit, and creating lasting memories with their friends. The smiles on their faces said it all! 🌟

Amazing results at Ryedale School today!!!
🎯 A third of all grades achieved were 7s, 8,s or 9s!
🎯 Almost 80% of students scored grade 4s in English and Maths!
🎯 65% of students secured a grade 5 in both subjects!

Congratulations to all students picking up their results today!

🎓 Representatives from York College, Lady Lumley's School, and Malton School will also be on site to offer advice and guidance.

⚠️ Please note: School will close at 11:45am.
