As we shared recently, Nantwich Primary Academy and Nursery are the Regional Winners of the Fonetti Read Aloud Challenge! 🏆

As part of this amazing achievement, two of our pupils had the fantastic opportunity to travel to Amazon HQ with Mr Bebbington to receive their award - a truly unforgettable experience!

The Fonetti challenge celebrates the power of reading aloud, helping children to develop fluency, confidence and a love of reading. This success reflects the enthusiasm, commitment and hard work of both our pupils and staff in promoting reading across our school.

Well done to everyone involved - what a brilliant achievement and a wonderful example of our Pathway to Success in action! 📖✨

Did you see the Battle of Nantwich today? ⚔️

Our Year 5 pupils were lucky enough to take part in a fantastic workshop at Nantwich Museum this week, learning all about the Battle of Nantwich and the important role our town played in the English Civil War.

The children discovered why the war began, how Nantwich became a hotly contested town, and how the battle in 1644 helped to change the course of the war before seeing history come to life through today’s battle re-enactment.

They also enjoyed a tour of the town and hands-on activities such as handling artefacts, creating secret messages and learning about battle dress and weapons.

At Nantwich Primary Academy, we are proud that our curriculum is bespoke to our wonderful town, celebrating its unique heritage and giving children meaningful learning experiences rooted in our local community.

A huge thank you to Nantwich Museum for such an engaging and memorable experience for our pupils; we are so lucky to have this on our doorstep! 🌟

WOW Walk to School Challenge Success! 🎉

We’re so proud to share that after just two weeks of taking part in the WOW – Walk to School Challenge, Nantwich Primary Academy is currently 1st in Cheshire East and 84th in England! 🙌

WOW, run by the charity Living Streets, encourages children to walk, wheel, cycle, scoot or Park & Stride to school, helping to build healthy habits while reducing car journeys.

This challenge links closely to our commitment to sustainability, supporting greener travel, cleaner air and a healthier school community for everyone. 🌱

A huge thank you to our WOW Ambassadors, who are doing a fantastic job promoting the challenge and supporting classes to take part 🌟

Let’s keep going and see how high we can climb on the national leaderboard! 🏆
