One of best parts about teaching workshops is getting to make some jewellery at the same time… for demonstration purposes of course 😂 here’s my samples from this weekends workshops. Yesterday’s wrap around ring with a gorgeous dichroic glass cab and today’s paw print sample with paw prints supplied by the new cats Bunny and Raven 🐾 I could be tempted to keep the ring myself but I can’t keep all the samples right? 🤣

Another fantastic new workshop today, or rather a slight variation on previous silver clay sessions. Everyone made their very own texture sheet using their pets actual paw print! The process is pretty straight forward once you’ve captured the print on ink paper, after a bit of tweaking it’s used to create a texture sheet to roll your silver clay onto and voila your tiny paw print is captured forever on a very special and totally hand made piece of solid silver jewellery. Silver clay is always so difficult to photograph so my pictures really don’t do justice to these fantastic pieces.

I will run this workshop again early next year if you fancy having a go but in the meantime if you’d like to learnt a little more about silver clay then there’s space in October or January which also incorporates some copper clay. Full details and booking as always is over on the website

I can’t quite believe it’s a whole 10 years since I finished my masters degree and started my teacher training 😮 My teacher training changed course part way through so it took a year longer than originally planned and 2016-17 wasn’t a great time at all for a variety of reasons, one being mum receiving her cancer diagnosis. Thankfully she got to watch me graduate after completing this course. I also can’t quite believe that after years of wanting to complete a degree I finally did it not once but 3 times! 😱🤣

Preparing paw prints ready for Sunday’s silver clay keepsake workshop. I managed to get some reasonably decent prints from the new cats so I’ll test them out during the session. I also managed to get a reasonably good version of mums finger print even though the original wasn’t the best so I’ll be making something from that soon hopefully.

There’s 1 space left on this workshop but booking will close tomorrow evening and you will need to already have a copy of your print that can be sent to me straight away via email so I can prep it ready for Sunday.

Resin Christmas decorations in December is now full but I’ve been timetable tweaking and I’ve added an extra date at the end of November. This will be the only additional date for this workshop so if you’d like to book I would recommend doing so as soon as possible.

Head over the the website to book or for more details on this and all workshops/courses

Another fantastic ring making workshop today, this time making a wider band with some texture or a design created using some of the many punches that are available. There’s so many design combinations when you choose the metal punches so you can really personalise the ring and a lot of student add an initial or stamp a design with a special meaning to the inside of the ring.

If you’d like to make one of your own there’s spaces in November and as this design is a little more gender neutral it’s a great one for men too.

Full detail of all workshops along with dates, prices and booking can be found over on the website
