We've had fun in Owls this week with the play dough. We used a selection of autumnal loose parts to explore new textures. We spoke about the spiky pinecones, crunchy leaves and smooth conkers, pressing and rolling them into the dough to see what patterns they made.
We also had a session in the sensory room, exploring lights, feeling textures with our feet and playing on the soft blocks.

Our little Hedgehogs have been exploring the nursery grounds. They have been watching all the construction work across the lane and emulated this by playing with our own construction vehicles with the bark at the Tepee. We also watched the horses in the field and enjoyed the freedom and space to run around in the fresh air.

Our Deers enjoying a cool breeze in their own outdoor space. They have been experimenting with making sounds on the pots and pans music wall, got messy pushing cars on mud tracks in the soil area and love to play boo in the playhouse.

Our Leaver' Party in Foxes this week. Lots of fun dancing, games and just spending time with our friends. We are sad to see our Leavers move on from Parklands after being with us for years, but are certain that they will thrive in the next stage of their lives at primary schools.

Insect week has inspired us all and we have been exploring the grounds, digging, searching under hedgerows and in the bug hotel to see what we could find. This led to lots of other activities in tuff trays and troughs. Lots of new language and fine motor skills practice whilst trying to keep cool. The children had fun discovering which bugs were frozen.
