The PE Guru is run by Mr Gareth Barton (current and up to date DBS) and offers small groups or 1:1 tuition for PE students studying Btec, GCSE and A-Level PE/Sport with all specifications covered. Students can learn from the comfort of their own home, either in person or online.

The PE Guru can support students with not only exam components of PE but also the non-examined elements at Btec, GCSE and A-level.

Furthermore, The PE Guru not only supports PE students but can also support all students with revision techniques in order to maximise potential.

Private PE Tutoring and Exam Skills Development.

Having worked in the Education system for 16 years as a Teacher of both primary and secondary PE, Head of Year and Head of PE, I have gained a vast array of experiences and developed numerous skills along the way. Building positive relationships is something I have always succeeded in doing and during my teaching career I have an exceptional track record in leading my PE department to achieve 100% A*-C grades at both GCSE and A-Level PE.

Not only am I IT literate with regards to Microsoft office but I also use a MacBook at home and I have a vast array of knowledge with regardless to phone/tablet applications that support students with teaching and learning across examination PE.

My reputation as a mentor was recognised by Chester University and I was awarded the Advanced Mentoring Certificate. I feel the skills I have developed during my career have helped me to work effectively with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, always ensuring that students aspirations are at the heart of what I do.

I am level 2 qualified in coaching both football and rugby amongst other sporting qualifications. I have gained the NPQML award and an Advanced Mentoring Certificate. I am always up to date with safeguarding and I am DBS checked. Developing myself has always been at the heart of what I do, all with an emphasis in supporting young people. I am self-motivated and have a positive impact on others. Throughout my time as a teacher, I have always had to plan appropriately for students, including students with SENd, and I believe I can be a huge support for those GCSE and A-Level students who want to get the grade they deserve.
