📢 Free School Meals – important information for families

There have been changes to Free School Meals eligibility in Cheshire East from September 2026, and the expanded eligibility scheme is now open.

This means that all children in households receiving Universal Credit can now be eligible for Free School Meals, regardless of household earnings.

If your family receives Universal Credit, please take a moment to check the information in the leaflet and apply if you may be eligible. 🍎

💙 A quick note about ParentPay
The Free School Meal allowance isn’t shown as physical money or as a separate balance on your child’s ParentPay account. Once your child is registered for Free School Meals, their daily allowance will be used for their school meal before any money you have added to their lunch account is used.

🥪 Please also remind your child to speak up if there is ever a problem with their lunch. Whether they are unsure about their allowance, have a problem at the till or simply aren’t sure what to do, we are here to help. Our friendly Red Coat Team and Key Stage 3 team are always happy to support them. 💙

And just like that, we’re back! It’s been lovely to see the school busy again today, with our students and staff settling back into the rhythm of a new school year.

There’s plenty to look forward to, and we’re excited for the year ahead. Here’s to a fantastic year!

✨ Class of 2026 – We couldn't be prouder 💙💛

Today has been a day of smiles, hugs and unforgettable moments as our Year 11 students collected their GCSE results.

This throwback to Prom feels like the perfect photo today because these young people are so much more than a set of grades. They are kind, resilient, funny, determined and truly beautiful inside and out.

The Class of 2026 have worked incredibly hard throughout their time at Malbank, overcoming challenges, supporting one another and creating memories that will stay with us for years to come. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and, most importantly, of the wonderful young people they have become.

Today is a chance to celebrate their journey, the friendships they've made, the challenges they've overcome and the memories they've created along the way.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff and to the families who have supported our students throughout their journey. Your encouragement, care and belief in them has made such a difference.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Thank you for the laughter, the memories and for being unapologetically yourselves. Whether you're joining our Sixth Form or beginning a new adventure elsewhere, you'll always be part of the Malbank family. 💖

🎓 THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER! 🎓

Tomorrow is GCSE Results Day! 🥳

We can’t wait to welcome our Year 11s to The Boulevard between 9am–11am to collect your results. There will be plenty of staff on hand to support, celebrate and congratulate you on all you have achieved. 💙

Joining Malbank Sixth Form?

If you’re planning to continue your journey with us, here’s what you need to do to complete your enrolment:

1️⃣ Collect an Enrolment Form
2️⃣ Choose your subjects – your results may help shape your final choices
3️⃣ Check the entry requirements
4️⃣ Submit your completed Enrolment Form
5️⃣ Collect a New Student Information Sheet

And remember… DON’T WORRY if you can’t make it in tomorrow! ❤️

An online enrolment form will be available on Teams so you can complete your enrolment for Sixth Form remotely if needed.

✨ Class of 2026 – We couldn't be prouder. 💙💛

Today has been a day of smiles, celebrations and incredible achievements as our Year 13 students collected their A Level results.

The Class of 2026 have shown determination, resilience and ambition throughout their journey with us, and today they've been rewarded with fantastic opportunities for the future. With strong results across the board, an increase in top grades and the overwhelming majority of students securing their first-choice destination, there's so much to celebrate.

Headteacher John Harrison said:

“We are immensely proud of this year’s Year 13 cohort. Their achievements are brilliant, and it has been a true privilege to work with such a wonderful group of young people as they move on to the next stage of their lives.”

Head of Sixth Form Craig Batty added:

"The Class of 2026 are a wonderful group of young people, and we are delighted by their achievements today. They have worked incredibly hard throughout their time with us and deserve every success. Whatever their starting point, the overwhelming majority have achieved or exceeded their potential, and we will miss them immensely."

These results are a testament not only to our students' hard work, but also to the support of their families and the dedication of our incredible staff who have championed them every step of the way.
