🎉Last week marked the end of another wonderful school year as we said goodbye to the children who are now ready to begin an exciting new chapter by starting school.
We also said a sad but very fond farewell to Lisa Parker, who is embarking on a new chapter of her own as she leaves Church Lane Preschool after an incredible 20 years.
Lisa will always be remembered for her love of arts and crafts and for being very selective about who was allowed into her famous craft cupboard – perhaps we'll finally get to discover what was really hiding in there!
Over the past two decades, Lisa has inspired generations of children with her creativity, planning countless exciting and messy activities, often involving ice, shaving foam and plenty of blue food colouring. Her dedication, enthusiasm and kindness have made a lasting impact on so many children, families and colleagues, and she will be greatly missed.
We gave Lisa the send-off she truly deserved on Thursday, with lots of thoughtful gifts and plenty of happy memories shared. One of her favourite presents was a special book filled with the wonderful pictures and messages created by your children – a keepsake we hope she will treasure for years to come.
Thank you, Lisa, for 20 amazing years. We wish you every happiness and success in whatever comes next.🎉

What a great turn out to Noah’s Ark today. It was lovely to see you all there, especially to see Mrs Parker doing her last lot of bumpy slide races with the children. She really enjoyed looking through the book we made her with all your fabulous pictures in.
Mrs Parker says she has had a wonderful last week at preschool and will continue to harass Mrs Camsell until she puts some photos on Facebook for her! So ……..more to follow

Yesterday when came to preschool we noticed that our caterpillars had come out of their chrysalis and they weren’t caterpillars any more they were butterflies. We gave them some fruit and left them to dry their wings out and then decided to let them go today. We opened the net and they flew out onto a nearby flowery bush.
We looked at the colours of our butterflies and did some symmetrical strong painting using the same colours.

What a busy, warm morning we have had. This week we are talking about and looking at ‘The hungry caterpillar’. Today we were very excited to see our caterpillars had arrived, there are 5 and they are very wriggly. We sure cotton reels to paint our own caterpillars, we used the props to explore the story and we used the green dough to create creatures and other bugs.
