Please see below the message that we have sent out to families this evening regarding Ravenswood closing Wednesday and Thursday this week:

Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: School Closure Due to Weather Warning

We are writing to inform you that, due to the severe weather warning issued for our area, Ravenswood School will be closed on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June in the interest of the safety and well-being of our pupils, staff, and wider community.

The decision has been made following guidance from relevant authorities and careful consideration of the potential risks posed by the weather conditions.

We kindly ask that all students remain at home during this period. Where possible, learning materials or remote learning instructions will be provided by the class teacher and arrive home tomorrow with your child.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and hope the school will be open again on Friday 26th June.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring everyone’s safety.

Today saw the inaugural School SEND Softball Cricket Festival delivered by Somerset Cricket Foundation in partnership with Ravenswood School. The festival featured a knockout softball cricket competition, bringing together young people for a day of inclusive sport, teamwork and enjoyment.

Mrs Barnes has had the privilege of attending Buckingham Palace today to celebrate Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award holders. This was especially special as our first ever Gold Award holder, Ben was also there celebrating his Gold achievements. It is such an amazing award and we are pleased that we are able to support students to complete their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. A huge well done to all who have achieved their gold awards.
