💙Help us prepare for a fantastic new term! 💙

Nacton & Bucklesham Under Fives is a charity-run preschool, and we simply couldn't do what we do without the support of our wonderful families and community.

We're looking for volunteers to join us at Nacton Village Hall for two maintenance and tidy-up sessions:

📅 26 August, 12pm-4pm 🧹 Cleaning, painting, tidying and general repairs

📅 4 September, 12pm-4pm 📦 Organising storage areas, clearing the stage and completing any remaining jobs

Whether you're a parent, grandparent, friend or local supporter, we'd love to see you there. Even an hour of your time would make a huge difference.

No need to sign up, just come along and lend a hand. Together, we can make sure our preschool is clean, safe and ready to welcome the children back. 🌈✨

We're now taking bookings for **September 2026**, with spaces available for children aged **2-4 years**.

⭐ Warm, nurturing home-from-home environment
⭐ Indoor and outdoor free-flow play

Nestled in a peaceful village and surrounded by the beautiful countryside, children have the freedom to explore, discover and learn through play both indoors and out. Whether they're building dens, hunting for minibeasts and splashing in puddles outside, or getting creative, role-playing and following their interests indoors, every day is packed with fun and adventure. 🌼🦋

Our free-flow approach allows children to choose where they play and learn, helping them build confidence, independence and a love of learning at their own pace.

Today we had our end of term picnic and leavers celebration.

Thankyou to all the families who attended and to all those who have given us the opportunity to care for thier little ones and help them grow.

Leavers Poem
At Nacton and Bucklesham Under Fives,
We’ve shared such joyful days,
With laughter, songs, and busy play
In oh so many ways.
From footballs bouncing round the yard
To chasing every ball,
And building dens together when
You’d say, “Can you make us one for all?”
We galloped fast on horses
With race day songs so bright,
And rocked out like true superstars
With music day and night.
With ukuleles gently played
And K-pop in the air,
We learned new things and found our voices,
With confidence to share.
In story worlds of magic green,
Elphaba took the lead,
While Dorothy called out for Toto
With everything she’d need!
We made up mud kitchen feasts
And birthday cakes to share,
With playdough, tools, and busy hands
Creating everywhere.
“Can we have the bikes out, please?”
Was heard most every day,
And trampoline teams bouncing high
In friendship and in play.
We searched beyond the fence for toys
That somehow flew away,
And waited for the nettles’ rest
To find them one fine day!
We built, we fixed, we cared for all,
In families we’d pretend,
Learning how to help and share
And be a thoughtful friend.
So now it’s time to say goodbye,
And spread your wings so wide,
Take all the love and memories
With pride held deep inside.
Forever part of Under Fives,
No matter where you go,
You’ll carry all these special times
More than you’ll ever know

💓💕As term draws to an end and another academic years ends , I'd like to take the time to thank the wonderful team of Nacton and Bucklesham Under Fives.

You make our setting what it is , warm, welcoming and caring. The effort you put in day in amd day does not go unnoticed and is reflected in the way children develop throughout thier time with us .

🎨✨ Our little artists have been incredibly busy creating some wonderful masterpieces!

This week we’re celebrating children’s creativity with our very own Art Gallery and Pop-Up Café. We can’t wait to share their amazing artwork with you!

Families, friends, and members of our village community are warmly invited to join us tomorrow from 9:30–11:00am to admire the children’s creations, enjoy a drink and a treat, and celebrate the imagination and talent of our young artists.
