Year 11 West Yorkshire Result
Garforth 2-2 Calder (Garforth win on penalties)

The year 11 lads performed really well and were unlucky to find themselves 2 goals behind, from 2 set pieces with 15 minutes to go.

However, they showed tremendous composure and resilience to play their way back in to the game. Stan Earle was brought down in the box and slotted home to make it 2-1. Aiden Wood then fizzed a ball across the box and Leo Hackett managed to chest the ball in to the back of the net.

The game finished 2-2 and Garforth went on to win the tie on penalties. The year 11’s will next be playing after half term in the 3rd round of the English Schools Cup, fixture TBC.

Year 9 Result
Calder 0-5 Rishworth

A tough day at the office for the year 9 lads as they came up against a very strong Rishworth side.

Trailing 4-0 at half time, the lads had a much improved second half and demonstrated good organisation and resilience.

Before the summer, PE hosted the first ever Calder Colour Run. It's taken a while, but all the money has been collected and counted and we can reveal that students managed to raise a massive £4300!!! Congratulations to Myles who was the student to raise the most money individually. Thank you for everyone who was involved
