Year 8 Silver Cup Final - Year 8 Calder 1 V Newark 1 -
2-1 to Newark

After going 2 goals behind in the 3rd place decider, the lads dug deep and brought one back. They pushed for a second but the final whistle got the better of them.

A great effort which saw the lads top their group and make it all the way to the semi final!

Well done lads, we are very proud of you all!

Year 8 Gold Cup Final - Calder 2 V Codsall 2
2-1 to Calder

The final was a replay of our second group game where Calder, who were leading at the halfway point were beaten 3-2.

However, we set up differently and knew how to play against Codsall this time.

We went behind early but didn’t panic. Rylan Mountain pumped the ball forwards from a goal kick, Finnegan Adam’s rose in the box but was pushed by the defender in the air. He did nothing more than head the ball with the back of his head, straight in to the top corner of the net!

Calder could smell blood and pushed for a winner with 3 minutes to go. Albie Thiel who was unplayable all tournament managed to rifle one in to the back of the net with the last play of the game!

Calder one take the trophy back to West Yorkshire!
