Cozy Creations Childminding

Been a quieter week this week with illnesses but we have continued the Christmas fun.

The after school children had their yearly trip to Playtopia and we finished off the week with a visit from Santa with the little ones and a Party with Emma's little explorers childminding

We have started our Countdown to Christmas… we have done our lists for Santa and been busy gluing and cutting!

We have enjoyed playing with slime and playdough.

We have been enjoying the outside whilst it’s not wet just wrapped up warm as it’s turned abit chilly!

And we have carried on with the World Cup theme and designed our own England shirts 👕 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The week started off with the World Cup… this lead to us practicing our ball skills of rolling, throwing, catching and Kicking!

We have been making our own bread to eat with our soup.

Practicing numbers and writing our name ready for going to school.

We have played with playdough, slime and had lots of fun splashing in puddles.

Happy 7th Birthday to this young man 🎉🎂🎊🥳

We started the week but laying out Remembrance wreath … we visited the library and Hebden Bridge after a train trip.

We have been playing the shopping list game and doing lots of Children in Need activities …

Another great week …. We have loved making dens this week!

We have done firework pictures after the weekend and we have been Poppy mad for Remembrance day.

We have fed the ducks and had a trip to the park .

It’s been all about Halloween and Bonfire here at Cozy creations…

We have been talking about our emotions, working in teams to build train tracks and playing together in the homecorner.

It’s a little bit spooky at the Cozy Creations HQ ready for Halloween tomorrow 💀👻🎃💀👻🎃

We started off the week with a trip the library on the train … we haven’t been for a while and the children loved exploring and choosing some books to bring back.

We have had a Halloween themed week with a visit to Gordon Riggs and it’s pumpkin patch!

Lots of arts and crafts….. Pom Pom bats, ghosts, pumpkins and spiders

We carved a pumpkin too 🎃

We have been celebrating Diwali … making lantern and diya lamps after reading Peppa’s Diwali. In line with this we made our own chapatis which we had with our curry on Thursday.

Emma's little explorers childminding came to play and we went to the park for a play. Building friendships.

We have baked cakes, had fun in the garden and been reading lots of stories!

We had a quieter week than normal
Due to an unexpected closure at the beginning of the week …

We have made flapjacks! One of our little ones has their first dentist trip so we talked about dentists and our teeth and practiced brushing them!

We have been to visit playgroup at St Micheals.

And we finished off the week with some Cosmic Kids Yoga 😊

Another Autumnal week … making wreaths and getting messy with glue!

We have loved using the conkers we collected last week to make beautiful pictures .. conker rolling.

Practicing writing names and playing doctors!

Dear Zoo is one of our favourite stories so we decided to write our own letters to the zoo ..

Finished off the week with some dancing!

It’s been a very autumnal week!

We have been collecting leaves, acorns, sticks and conkers.

We have made some autumn pictures with paints, using our hands and corks.

We managed to get to the park for a play.

We have been threading using our fine motor skills and practicing our pencil control

We have done lots of building ending the week with all the children coming together and making a huge tower!

We started the week with some playdough fun… we went for a walk and collected some leaves which we used to do some leaf printing! We have been practising our scissor and mark making skills.

We have also looked at shapes and colours.

We have visited the playgroup in Mytholmroyd with our friends at Emma's little explorers childminding and met new friends and enjoyed some new resources and equipment.

We finished off the week with pizza making and dressing up 😊

We have talked this week about the Queen ..

Which started the conversation about emotions and how we were feeling … we read the colour monster and showed our emotions and chose how we felt.

We have been doing puzzles, playing in the mud kitchen (making potions) and we have visited the park.

We ended the week talking about healthy and unhealthy foods!

We are closed on Monday and will see everyone on Tuesday 🥰

We started the week with the school children still being with us …

We went blackberry picking and visited Playtopia.

We have been looking at our names, picking our vegetables and welcoming back children after 6 weeks off.

We made blackberry Jam and used our onions in our chicken casserole.

The older children went back to school on Wednesday and our now all together in Class 1 😊

We have played with cornflour, playdough and sand/water.

We have made binoculars and been exploring in the woods.

Another great week … last one of the holidays next week. Wonder what we can do ??

We have had another lovely holiday week in the sunshine … we met up with Emma's little explorers childminding and had a picnic.

We have visited the farm as the children love farm animals.

We have made bear biscuits and made towers as tall as us 😊😊

I think all the children in my care go home like this 🤣🤣🤣😞

After me taking a week off last week this was our first week of the holidays … so we are a little quieter than normal but we had lots of fun…

Started the week going on a bear hunt and making our own bears!

We baked cookies …

We have visited the park and PBs play village.

We had visitors to play with on Tuesday and we have had lots of fun learning and playing with the resources at home 😊

We also said Goodbye to this little one … she has been an absolute superstar and we wish her all luck on her next adventure 😍😊🎊🎓👩‍🎓

This was last week in the heatwave … we didn’t get many photos … but we had a hot week!

We were joined by Emma’s explorers on Tuesday for some fun 🤩

So a hot week which began in the paddling pool having lots of fun…

We have been practicing our fine motor skills along with colour matching.

We have baked some buns and used our maths skills to count the cases and the ingredients.

We managed a trip to the park and we have done lots of book reading this week 😊😍

We are happy to announce our new edition after many months of waiting …. We have a frog called ‘Hans Solo’ ….. we decided to let the other tadpoles go free a while ago but we wanted to see if we could get one …. Which we have !!! Yay !!!

So starting of with American Independence Day and doing American flags! We have celebrated Wimbledon by making our own trophies and we even had our own Wimbledon final with paper bats and a balloon! It was lots of fun until the balloon popped!

We have been practicing our puzzle skills and had a trip out to the park.

To finish off the week we met up with Emma’s explorers at Ponderosa for a lovely sunny day out. We even got up close and personal with the Lemurs 😊😊😊

We have been learning about ourselves this week and what we look like … drawing self portraits and then talking about how we feel and all the different emotions.

We have been to the park and we did some tree rubbing.

We enjoyed some cosmic kids yoga too 😊

A great week outside … we have been on the bus to Hebden Bridge and we have walked to Brearley to the Park.

We have been filling and pouring with stones and water. We have been watching sand dissolve in water … and one little one is really trying her hardest to walk 😊
