Campie Parent Council This is the page of, for and about Campie Community! Welcome. We'll share info and look for help. This should be detailed in the constitution.

This is the page of Campie Primary School Parent Council and Parent Forum as we search for new ways to stay in touch with everyone about events at the school. We won't discuss individuals - this is a community page so everyone must play nice!!! What are the main responsibilities of the PC to the Parent Forum? The Parent Forum can expect the following from the Parent Forum:
To receive information about the PC and its activities
To be invited to be involved in PC activities, such as subcommittees
To be asked for their opinion by the PC on issues relating to the school community
To participate in how the PC is organised and how it operates, for example making changes to the constitution

What are the main duties of the Parent Council? The first duty of the Parent Council is to represent the views of the parents at the school. The duties of a Parent Council are not laid down in legislation so it is up to each Parent Forum to decide what they want their PC to do. There are many things a Parent Council could get involved in, including:
Supporting the work of the school, for example, by advising the school on its policies
Being involved in the appointment of senior staff
Organising social and fundraising events
Promoting contact between all parents and the rest of the school community
Discussing anything that’s of interest to parents

Thank you to everyone for their generous donations to Campie library. We're well stocked and it's great to see the library so well used by the children.

The only books we're currently looking for are:

Lottie Brooks books, by Katie Kirby

Storey Treehouse books, by Andy Griffiths

The Ickabog by JK Rowling

Skandar books by AF Steadman

Mr Gum by Andy Stanton

Any books by Pamela Butchart, Matt Haig or Tom Fletcher.

Any age appropriate graphic novels.

Any Dog Man books by Dave Pilkey

If you have any of the above books that you'd like to donate, we'd love to give them a new home. Thank you again for your support. ✨

👻 GET READY FOR SOME SPOOKTACULAR FUN! 🎃

The Campie Parent Council is thrilled to invite you to our Halloween Parties on Thursday 29th October! 🎉🕷️

We’ve got a fantastic evening planned with crisps, juice, games, crafts, and a spooky disco! 🕺👾

🕒 Party Times:

P1–P3: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM (Children must be collected by an adult at 6:30 PM sharp)

P4–P7: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Children must be collected by an adult at 8:00 PM sharp)

🎟️ Tickets:
£3.00 on iPay

Available soon! Keep an eye out for updates. 📲

🏆 Prizes!
There will be prizes for the best dressed and the best pumpkin brought along! 🎃👗
(Tip: Home-made and pre-loved costumes are the best—no need to spend lots! We also have a fantastic pre-loved rail at school with great costumes to choose from, and donations are always welcome!)

🎃 PRE-LOVED AT CAMPIE ❤️

We’ve got a couple of wee asks for our lovely Campie community!

👻 Halloween costumes wanted!
With Halloween not too far away, we’d love to give pre-loved costumes another chance to be enjoyed. If you have any costumes your children have outgrown or no longer need, please drop them into the school office. They’ll be added to our pre-loved rail ready for another family to enjoy. 🎃♻️

❤️ We also need some helping hands!
Our Pre-Loved Uniform Rail is such a brilliant resource for Campie families, but we’re currently really low on volunteers to help keep it going.

There’s absolutely no huge commitment involved even helping once a month would make such a difference. Whether it’s sorting donations, tidying the rail or helping at one of our pre-loved events, any time you can spare would be hugely appreciated.

As always, thank you to everyone who donates, volunteers, picks up pre-loved items or supports the rail in any way. It all helps us reuse, reduce waste and support families within our school community. ❤️♻️
