**🖐️ Welcome Back! 🖐️**

We look forward to welcoming all children back to school on Wednesday 2nd September and hope that you have enjoyed a wonderful summer break.

Please find below our arrangements for the start of the school day:

🕗 Breakfast Club opens from 8.00am (via Main Reception)

🕤 Main Gates open at 8.45am

Entry Gates:

☑️ Gate 2 (next to Murton Library) – Nursery and Reception (and siblings of children in Nursery and Reception)
☑️ Gate 1 (bottom of Toft Crescent) – Years 1, 2 and 3
☑️ Gate 3 (opposite Main Reception) – Years 4, 5 and 6

As normal, each gate will be staffed by members of the Senior Leadership Team and support staff to welcome children safely into school and help ensure a smooth start to the day. Children should be left at their designated gate, where staff will support them into school.

We are excited to see everyone again and look forward to another fantastic year at Ribbon Academy.

🎒 Back to School – Helpful Tips for Parents

We know the first week back can feel big for our children. The image below shares simple ideas to help them feel calm, confident and ready — things like building excitement, giving small choices, easing back into routines and keeping goodbyes warm and quick.

The main message is lovely: connection over perfection.
Listening, staying calm and showing confidence in them really helps.

⚽️⚽️ SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMPS ⚽️⚽️

Big news!! We are hosting our first ever UP Coaching summer football camps. These will be running over Murton Welfare (SR7 9RD) on the selected dates above, from 9:30am - 3pm (early drop off is available at 9am). Costs are £15 a day or £40 for the week (3 days).

We are incredibly excited for the summer ahead and can’t wait to welcome you all! Any enquiries don’t be afraid to drop us a message!

🎺🌟 What a way to end Ribbonfest! 🌟🎺

We've had the best day celebrating together, and a huge thank you goes to She's Got Brass for their absolutely fantastic performance. Their energy, talent and enthusiasm helped make this year's Ribbonfest a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved.

A big thank you to all of our pupils, staff and visitors who joined us and helped create such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day. 💚

🎶 Parents, if you'd like to see She's Got Brass perform again, they're appearing this evening in Seaham as part of the Durham Brass Festival. It's a great opportunity to enjoy another incredible performance from this talented band and continue the RibbonFest celebrations!
