📢 Making Sense of SEND Information Fair

Families and professionals are invited to a free, friendly, in-person event offering information and support about SEND.

📅 Saturday 3 October 2026
⏰ 11.30am–1.30pm
📍 Hellesdon Community Centre, NR6 5SB

The event will include an expert-led talk, opportunities to speak with more than 20 services and personalised face-to-face advice.

Year 5/6 Bittern Class started their French unit this morning with Mrs Grey!

This half term, the children will be focusing on the topic ‘Do you have a pet?’ 🐶 They will be learning lots of new French vocabulary and developing their confidence in asking and answering questions about pets.

🍎 FREE SCHOOL MEALS – COULD YOUR CHILD BE ELIGIBLE? 🍎

From September 2026, all children in England whose parents receive Universal Credit will be entitled to Free School Meals, regardless of household income.

Free School Meals could save families up to £500 per child, per year, while also providing additional Pupil Premium funding to support your child’s school.

⚠️ Applications are not automatic, so eligible families still need to apply through the Norfolk County Council website.

🎄 We apologise for the festive talk so early, but MIJS are excited to be working with Cauliflower Cards this year! 🎄

Cauliflower Cards gives families the opportunity to purchase some lovely personalised cards and gifts featuring their child’s very own artwork, while also helping to raise money for MIJS.

🎨 Pupils will create their festive designs in school and bring them home on an artwork order form no later than Friday 11th September.

🛍️ Adults at home can then visit the Cauliflower Cards website to order any of the lovely personalised items available.

Once you have placed your order, simply return the artwork order form to school no later than Monday 28th September. Cauliflower Cards will then do the rest, with orders delivered to school in plenty of time for Christmas! 🎁
